We stayed in a delux room with a balcony. Beautiful view. The staff were very helpful. The restaurant has delicious meals. The breakfast was good. Cat Ba beach no 3 is about a 5 min walk and lovely to swim in.

Many people complain about the food there - I don't think it was as bad as I saw in other comments, but breakfast could have been a bit better indeed. Coffee is just an instant coffee, and even though there was a container labeled "spring rolls" it was always empty on all 3 days of our stay. First days we thought someone ate it all before us, but last day we were there at 7am - and the container was already empty. But this is still really just a small remark, our stay was really good and we definitely recommend this place.

It is really greatly located place - it's not in the city center, so there is no city noise, but it's still within a walking distance. Close to the beach too. They also offer a motorbike rental in good price and they managed to get us a cruise trip in a lower price than anywhere else. We had a very good stay in this place.

The hotel is a bit far from the city center. The staff was a bit disorganized (e.g. they didn’t apply the discount that we were supposed to have at the hotel bar)

Great staff who despite the cold weather at the time of our visit, and us being one of the few guests, were ready and waiting each morning and evening to serve breakfast and dinner. Staff went out of the way to respond to a request I made the day before our arrival.

Everything was perfect! The hotel has the best view to halong bay and to the city. The staff was super friendly and helpful all the time, showing us the best places to go on the island and renting a scooter for us. I highly recommend this place!

The property is not designed for lower temperatures. The reception, breakfast and restaurant are outdoors. So it depends on the season you travel in or how lucky you are. We went in late January (10-12 degrees) and were freezing all the time (even in the room, which only has an A/C that doesn't heat). It must be a reaaaally nice place in summer, but in the Vietnamese winter it was harsh.

The room was very spacious and the breakfast was very good! Staff was always smiling even with the bad weather which was a bit frustrating for us. The location and surroundings are very nice. A short walk to the city center where all the good restaurants and pubs are. Just be aware that if you go in winter it is very cold and a nice walk can turn into a hard walk.

Misleading name - Bungalow. I booked 4 'bungalows' for my family, including my old parents. When I booked bungalows, I expected individual buildings on the ground. Instead, when we got there we were offered four split level rooms on top of a 4-story building, without an elevator. It was impossible for my old mom to climb harsh flights of stairs to the fourth floor. Luckily there was another room available closer to the ground and the hotel manager offered that room for my mom.

This is a beautiful setting for a few nights stay. The room was excellent and the views stunning. The staff were very attentive and helpful. The room was cleaned daily and we loved the location as it was away from the busy town. I would highly recommend this as place to stay on the island
