I do not recommend taking the transportation service offered by the airport hotel at all, it is excessively expensive, they charged me 4 more times, the room is not like the one in the photos, I think I would not return

There is quite a bit of mold in the shower,

The staff is amazing. They go out of their way to ensure the comfort of their guests. We felt very safe in the neighborhood. Our motorbikes were secure. The location is central to great restaurants and walking distance to Ben Thanh Market. Comfortable beds and the property is set back enough that there is hardly any road noise at night.

Bathroom and furniture was tired and dated (looks newer in the hotel photos online), bathroom very basic but functional, some stains on our clean towels.

Good value for money for a 2-star hotel, you get what you pay for. Basic but clean with good much needed aircon from the humidity outside. Comfortable and clean pillows and bed, good TV reception, hot water worked in shower.

Noisy: you can hear everything around; was not really dirty, but overall it's okay

The stuff is extremely polite!! First, my card didn't work via Booking and they wrote me a message that they are keeping my reservation for me. Second, the room I've booked was not available (because of the accident) and the property apologised, proposed another room or free cancellation. And even gave me to choose between 2 free rooms. Overall it was not bad, very good located near the centre.

The water pressure was a little weak (but not uncommon for Hồ Chí Minh city). The "king-sized bed" was actually two single-sized mattresses put together, which was fine. However, they were position perpendicular to how you are positioned to sleep, as oppose to parallel (i.e. the top half of your body would be on one bed while the other half on the second bed, the middle of your body would feel uncomfortable where the edges of the two mattresses meet). This was easily solved by rotating your sleeping position so it would be perpendicular to how the bed was set-up.

The room has a really nice view overlooking the neighbourhood with plenty of natural light that can stream in and brighten up the room during the day (something that is difficult to find at this price range in a city like Hồ Chí Minh city). You get an excellent view of the city from the top floor, where there is a small open-air lounge area to eat and relax. The location is in, what feels like, a very local part of District 1; just a stone's throw away from Thái Bình Market and Bùi Viện street where you have access to plenty of local and non-local food options + nightlife. It is also walkable distance away from some of the major sites of Hồ Chí Minh city. Most importantly, the hotel is tucked away along a small lane, which means you get quite a peaceful night throughout compared to hotels facing main streets. The staff working at the reception are really quick to respond to any issues and the hotel provides very good laundry service at an affordable price (much needed when you're walking around a city that is as hot and humid as Hồ Chí Minh city.)

Hotel is in an alleyway on a very busy street so accessing it is a bit scary. The walls are quite thin and you could hear people coming and going in the middle of the night. Not accessibility friendly, you have to walk up stairs to your room which wasn't a problem for us but may be for others.

The location of Spotlight Hotel was good and central, room was fairly clean and staff were friendly.

Loved the location. The breakfast was lovely as well. You can walk to walking street or any of the museums or apartment cafe from the hotel. The staff were super friendly and helpful. They give you a map of the nearby attractions which was so helpful

The room I was given is significantly smaller than the one advertised on the website, and it has a very unpleasant odor. The state of the bathroom is unacceptable, it is extremely dirty and unsanitary. Additionally, I was disappointed to find out that the fridge in the hotel room is non-functional, which is unacceptable for the price I paid..

Great location, just slightly off the beaten track so it wasn’t too noisy in our comfy and cool room. The staff were very friendly and accommodating! The mini crane to take our bags up the stairs was a welcome relief after a long journey too. The tasty breakfast in the morning always set us up well for a day ahead

One room had a window facing the corridor of the hotel. Both rooms were quite humid which resulted in a bit of a smell. Breakfast is limited to 3 options all savory. Also, had problems with the plug sockets.

Lack of lift and elderly people find it difficult to climb the stairs for 4th and 5th floors.

A great place to stay and enjoy Ho Chi Minh City. Located in the center of the city, it has all important places near it along with a places for money exchange as well. The staff are polite and very friendly and are always ready to help you with any guidance or booking cabs, trips, etc. The only problem might be that it has only stairs and no lift. So if you get rooms in 4th pr 5th floors it might get difficult for the elderly.

Nice location, very friendly staff. It was nice to have breakfast directly at the hotel. You can choose between three options and they even can make you a vegan meal if you prefer. Although there is no elevator, they have a lift to bring your luggage to your room.

I didn't encounter anything I didn't like about Spotlight Hotel. From the exceptionally helpful hosts to the affordability that makes it such a great deal for solo travelers, my experience was nothing short of delightful.

Had a blast at Spotlight Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam during my four-night stay. It was a very nice experience. The hosts at reception were incredibly kind and welcoming, which made my stay all the more enjoyable. The hotel's location is extremely convenient, making it easy to explore the city's attractions. The room was clean and comfortable, and I was particularly satisfied with the breakfast provided each morning.
