How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We initially were allocated a room without windows. When a window room came available we moved into that. Had to pay extra.

The bed was a bit too hard for me, the windows are very small, and the room a bit small, but still, a great value tor price
The host was very nice, and the room very clean. He updated my room for a better one free of charge

The only thing : the bed was a little bit too hard for me.. but not as hard as usually in Vietnam :) so .. maybe is a plus not a minus :) Some maitnance work should be done in the room an bathroom (painting mostly) - but not disturbing at all.
The location is perfect for wondering around the Old Town by walking. The room size was good, but I was alone. Overall I loved the place.

The staff was a bit rude or could use better choice of words to interact with the customers more nicely.
The location of the hotel was ideally near to every place we wanted to go.

If you are not booking the biggest room on the floor, no window for you 😅 Hotel is on the one way street, so you need to be ready to cross the street in Old Quaters right from the start (due to heavy traffic, especially with mopeds)
The room was specious. They changed our towels every morning. Provided with a fresh bottle of water per person. Staff is very friendly. Check in and check out were easy. They have an elevator.

Our room was small، If the hotel had breakfast it would be great. ، but in Hanoi don't worry about breakfast there are plenty of cafes around the hotel that offer breakfast at a reasonable price.
It is very close to the city center and you can walk to most areas. He had excellent short stay and very kind and polite staff. For the price، I still find this offer appropriate.

The room is kinda smaller than my expectation, but the staff helped me change after the first day, so it's okay.
The staffs are really friendly, helpful, and supportive. He helped us upgrade the room after the first night, carried bags and booked car to the airport. The hotel opens 24/24, which is very convenient. The room is quite okay, it's clean and well-equiped with both AC and heater, hair dryer, fridge, and cleaned towels. The location is in the Old Quarters, so it's easy to travel around the city.

The hot water didn't last longer than 2 minutes.. they tried fixing it multiple times without success, claiming we were the first to complain..

Wifi in the room was non-existent which was frustrating. The hot water in the shower lasted for five minutes which wasn't enough between two people. The bed was comfy but very small. The walls were paper thin so any exterior sound was amplified and would wake a light sleep. Its more a base camp and not a place you would relax & spend much time in.
Staff were friendly and very hard working, particularly given it was Tet. Location was ideal, very close to great restaurants and a short walk to numerous sights. Overall a comfortable bed and a tidy room. Perfect for a night or two, and would probably suit one person on their own rather than a couple. It is good for the price overall.

Didn't seem to have the canteen/restaurant at the time of my stay in the winter (not a big deal with all the eateries within the immediate area). The room (cheapest) didn't have a window.
Central location (5-10 minute walk from the airport bus station), friendly and helpful stuff that can organize some trips. Super fast and during my stay stable internet. Provided an electric heater.

Great location right in the Old Quarter, loads of little cheap food places. Staff are really nice and very helpful, even printed out some documents for us whilst we are on our travels. Room was very comfortable and had a flat screen TV and a very big bed. Would definitely recommend this place.

The room is clean but requires a small refresh (paint).
Hotel staff is very nice and helpful. The location is perfect in Hanoi. The bed is comfy and the bathroom is nice. The room is well equipped and clean.

The staff are very nice. My friend was sick that day and staff took her to the hospital. I'm very impressed. The accommodation is clean and close to the city center.

Photos are deceiving. Actually, the room was very dated and not as clean as it looked online. For the price and location it was fine.

Cleaningness can be further improved.
The location is perfect. Located in the heart of the old quarter. Access to everything easily. Valued to what you paid for. The day time manager was helpful to book the last minute Halong Bay 2D1N in last minute. Night time staff also able to assist service to explore night life options in the old quarter and very informative. Perfect for budget short stay, especially for 1 person solo tour.
