Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicYou can’t swim in the sea. Bad access to the sea.
Beautiful, quiet place, far from everything. The hotel is beautiful, the staff is amazing. He was even helpful during our departure at 5:00am when the hotel and reception are closed. He got up to make sure that our departure would be in order. Thank you very much!!! You can eat well at the hotel for a good price. A short distance from the hotel is a beautiful restaurant (unfortunately European, including prices). Opposite the hotel, a small, local convenience store. We rented a scooter at the hotel and went to starfish beach. A beautiful journey (1 hour). Taxi to the center 30 minutes, to the cable car 45 minutes, to the port 30 minutes. A beautiful place to relax.

SwitzerlandThe hotel is off the beaten track but that also means that it's a 40 minute moto drive to most beaches and restaurants - so need to be prepared for that. Also, there is really no beach in this hotel. And since its east facing with a small mountain in the back, the sun is not visible after 15.30. But its a lovely hotel to spend the mornings, eat good food and then rent a moto and explore the island.
Amazing hotel, nesselted on the east coast (far off the beaten track). Beautiful pool area, cozy bungalows and lovely breakfasts and food.

EstoniaIf to say something I missed a long walks on the beach. The beaches outside if resort is covered with trash, but this is the case everywhere.
It's hard to describe how much I love this place! I did extensive research on the resorts and hotels on the island and finally chose Mango Beach Resort, which was an excellent choice for us. We initially planned for 5 days but ended up staying there for 28 days :) This is a small and cozy resort run by a local family. They really took care of us, and we felt like a part of their lovely family. The wooden bungalows had comfy beds and a nice terrace with a sea view. The garden with banana and mango trees, along with flowers, was beautiful and well-maintained. Breakfast was included and freshly cooked for us. The food was delicious with enough choices. However, the staff was ready to cook your favorite food if you asked for it, even a fresh catch from the sea. The resort has a private lagoon, which means there are no big waves or trash ( which is the seosana case, unfortunately), so we enjoyed a swim in the sea every day. I liked that there were yoga mats in the rooms - I enjoyed my yoga practice every morning on the balcony with a sea view. There were lots of sunbeds, free surfboards, coconut boats, life vests, games, books, etc., to enjoy our time there. Rollers were available for rent. The Wi-Fi was really good and strong everywhere in the resort - a great place for remote working. We had video calls without any problems. The massage near the pool was amazing. The masseuse worked wonders on my husband’s sprained leg. The resort is located on the east side of the island, where you can enjoy especially beautiful sunrises. The place is around 20-45 min drive from the main sightseeing spots and the city. However, the island is not so big, and it was easy to rent rollers or a car for a day ( apprx 40 eur) to explore the island. I also recommend to visit Rory's Place nearby, which was just a 5-minute walk from the resort and offered not only great cuisine but also great cocktails, music, different games, and an excellent mini-golf garden.

DenmarkThe people running and working at this place where so nice. The restaurant is very good. The hotel was quiet and a nice place to stay with children. Be aware that the entrance to the hotel is located high, so you walk down towards the water and therefore there are quite a lot of stairs. The “beach” is artificial and not a beach in the normal sense, but it is easy to arrange trips to other beaches and use the beautiful pool. This hotel is a perfekt place to relax and we would definitely come back.

United KingdomThe sea is littered with plastic but that’s nothing to do with the hotel. It’s a problem in much bigger scale. The hotel in fact keep their beach clean and tidy
What a great family run hotel. Staff were just amazing and helpful. Free pick up and drop off at the ferry. Great food all around and delicious breakfast. Really nice pool and a small sheltered sea pool too.

United KingdomRoom was very dark - on the last night, we were given a reading lamp, which did help. Guests should be warned that there are more than 70 steps from the car park to the reception. It was no trouble for me, but it could be a nasty surprise to anyone with accessibility problems.
Peaceful hotel. Great food (breakfast and dinner). Very helpful staff.

Hong KongOnly downside for me is that I like to do long beach walks, but this section of coast does not have long beaches. However, this seems to be true for most of Phu Quoc.
Very pretty and atmospheric resort on Phu Quoc east side, with a lagoon style beach, pool and pier. Great breakfast, pho & seafood in the restaurant. Staff very kind & friendly and rooms and all other areas very clean.

United KingdomThere isn’t a beach and the sea is not suitable for swimming, this doesn’t matter as the pool is so good. Trips can be taken to beaches with white sand (Star Fish Beach) for little cost. Beware there are lots of steps, some flights without railings.
Beautiful gardens, nice pool, spacious bungalow with terrace high in the trees tops so very peaceful. Breakfast with lots of choice included. Staff very helpful and pleasant especially Luna, perfect as I was travelling alone. A lively bar is in walking distance although the resort itself is very quiet.

SwedenIf anything, wished that the spa would have been open, but there are plenty of other spa-places to visit when in Phu Quoc so really not a biggy! Beds was a bit hard for our liking.
Beautiful place in the most tranquil atmosphere. We stayed for two nights and it was lovely to be so close to nature as this resort offers you to be. Great food (especially the breakfast, we felt so spoiled!), relaxed and kind service, feels very welcoming! Garden is beautiful with lots of flowers and plants and really well maintained. Excellent cleaning! Big thanks to all the staff!

SlovakiaFor those who expect beach: The resort is called Mango Beach, but it actually does not have any beach and you need to travel to the south or west of the island to find a beach, we did not miss it and enjoyed the pool and silence :) and did a trips around the island. Get ready for mosquitos!
The resort is hidden in the trees, the food and drinks were good. We loved the pool. The stuff was always ready to help, we were a bigger group so we needed a car to explore the island, they always helped us to arrange it for reasonable price.

Very scenic location ideal for Instagram pics.. Staff is very attentive and super friendly.. Particularly the Manager Luna is very efficient, offered free airport transfers, speaks good English and her restaurant staff Tham and Thu are also good.. Room size is big, Air condition was good.. Scooter is available for rent at resort, shopping area is about 30m ride.. We ate here all the time as the food was nice but this area is a tourist village with many resorts along the coast for a drink or dinner if you prefer a change

To listen to the Auntie Owner was truly a blessing. She's insightful, passionate about hospitality, humanity and especially, gardening. Staying at Mango Beach brought back a lot of my childhood memories, truly an escape to the northern countryside in the middle of the southern tropical island.
