The car cant be bought till the front of the hotel.

Its a prime location for all touristy things in hanoi. Also, the market places are just around the corner. And hanoi night market is also walking distance. The best part is this hotel has lift!! Its really difficult to find hotels in hanoi old quarters with lifts but this was it! I will definitely come back here again for sure & will also suggest everyone to stay here

The room is spacious, but there was a door between our room and other guest's room as separation which was a bit weird. I guess they use them as family rooms, but it was a bit weird.

The staff was super nice and helpful. The room is quite and spacious. IT was super clean and the area is cool, very local. Getting to the old city is about 20 minutes walk.

The location

We were greeted by the girl at the front desk who was very friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious and clean. Breakfast was good, made to order. The location is not the best as you have to come in through a side street, but once you come to the Hotel the site street makes no difference, The girl at the desk is so good that everything else is forgotten. I recommend The Marigold Hotel for people who are looking for accomodation.

No room safe but they have a safe at reception.

Good breakfast. Room had of good size. Staff were helpful. The access to the hotel is via a lane which is safe. During the day there are little old ladies there and at night there are outdoor restaurants close by. So it feels safe. Its on theoutdkirts of the old quarter so its quite.

One minor thing was lake of a room safe. But they have a safe at reception you can use.

Nice big clean rooms. Breakfast was good, and you had to order day before. Brian was helpful and friendly. Pity he just left. No real complaints The lane is perfectly safe to use.. Old ladies about during the day and at night lots of outdoor food places so never felt unsafe.

It sometimes takes a while at the breakfast when there are many people ordering at the same time.

The room is clean (European-level clean) and smells amazing! It is spacious, the bathroom is comfortable and the shower with a good pressure and hot water. The breakfast is delicious but it's is selected from a menu, not a buffet.

Hard to find the first time: congestion on the road and alleyways leading to the hotel

The best hotel during my month long trip in Vietnam. It is quiet, has good breakfast, comfortable bed and short walking distance to a rail station and in the Old Quarter. It is hard to find the hotel which is in an alley within an alley location the first time. The taxi just dumped me on the road leading to the first alley. Thank you for the service of the front desk staff especially Louise and Brian. They provided the best service I had in Vietnam. Thank you, thank you. Ernest C

Clean hotel, normal European standard. We stayed 1 night in the room with windows and 3 nights in a room no windows. It was quiet and nice stay. Totally recommend!! (as in Hanoi there is a lot of scams hotels with 10 that they don’t correspond to)

In our two weeks trip around Vietnam, this was by far the best stay. We really enjoyed the cleanness and tidiness of the hotel, and the kindness of the staff (especially the young guy with glasses at the reception!). Breakfast was great, and laundry service quick. Location is not quite in the historical center, but just 10 minutes away. We will definitely come back, if we visit Hanoi again!
