Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceAmazing location in the old quarter. The breakfast was not disappointing at all, everything was yummy, we can not ask for more. We really enjoyed the friendly staff, everyone was kind and super helpful. The room was on 7th floor, nice view, bigger than expected which is a nice surprise, although the lights were a little bit dim it's kinda disturbing. Everything went great, would recommend the pool on 9th floor, refreshing and incredible view of the city.

United KingdomThe only minor frustration was the Aircon went off at night so we woke too hot in the night and had to get up to switch it back on again.
The hotel is in a great location for wandering around the old quarter. It's on a party street that gets very busy on evenings but you couldn't hear anything from our room. The staff were brilliant, nothing was any trouble. Breakfast was good with a wide variety

Czech RepublicThe rooms are not soundproof at all. You can here EVERYTHING going on in the hallway from the room. It's not mainly the hotel's fault, but during our stay a group of tourists came to the hotel at around 1 am and were incredibly loud in the hallway (and also in the room next to us) and we couldn't really sleep properly.
The hotel was really beautiful and clean, the rooms were spacious and well equipped. The pool on the roof is cool, but quite small and crowded.

Excellent location, right next to the night market in old quarter, but our room surprisingly quiet at night. Very good breakfast and facilities, and helpful staff. A rooftop pool is a nice bonus. Good value for money!

United KingdomThe overall room size was small which meant there was no area to set cases out. Unless you completely unpacked.
If you like being right in the middle of the old quarter (which we did), it is a great place to stay. Very quiet in room despite being a stones throw from "beer street". As value for money it was extremely good - took up an upgrade option we managed to facilitate. I liked that they limited their facilities (ie didn't have a bar / restaurant for lunch or dinner), because they could concentrate on providing what they had means to. The breakfast selection was very good. The pool and its surrounding area were good and they were working on a new "green wall" lounging space.

IrelandNot a thing!
Staff were so friendly, especially at the front desk, they are more than happy to help with anything. The doorman especially goes above and beyond, he should be paid double! The place was spotless, facilities were great, and bed was so comfortable!

AustraliaThe only issue was the construction noise of the building of a bar on the 12th floor -but this will be temporary
The hotel is in a fantastic area with easy access to everything. The staff are fantastic , so kind & helpful, especially Lewis & Mia who helped me so much when I was having a few issues unrelated to the hotel. An upgraded room is best, for a proper window & view

New ZealandThere was construction work happening over the pool. The pool could still be used however there were welding sparks dropping into the pool, concrete dust, drop sheets and tools all over the place. So we chose not to use the pool which was a shame as the weather was roasting while we were there.
Excellent place to stay. Brilliant location in the heart of the Old Quarter. The breakfast was fantastic! The rooms were spacious, bathrooms and showers lovely, beds were super comfortable and the staff were fantastic. Both our rooms didn’t have a window to the outside world, very easy to lose track of time with no daylight. However, the plus side to having no window was the peace and quiet. Personally, having stayed there three nights, we would have preferred windows and noise but we would have used the free earplugs supplied with the room.

United KingdomThe pool area was under going an upgrade, which sadly put it out of use for our stay. The manager was apologetic and gave us a discounted taxi service when we left which was good of him.
The staff and management were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast of a high standard. Great location in central old quarter of Hanoi.

AustraliaThe hotel was perfectly located in old quarter. The rooms were comfortable, clean and spacious. They offered ear plugs due to city noise but we didn’t need them. It was perfectly quiet at night. The hotel was walking distance to beer street and all the main old quarter attractions. The staff were helpful and lovely. The breakfast options were plentiful. The rooftop pool was clean and a great way to cool off after a long day of exploring.

The hotel has a great location, easy to walk to the main tourist spots and located right on beer street. Hotel staff were lovely with a “nothing is too much trouble” attitude. Always ready to assist you and help with your queries. The room is as comfortable and nicely decorated.

Very luxurious feel. Beds were extremely comfortable. Helpful staff. Great breakfast options. Noise proof despite being on a busy night life street. Appreciated how they provided ear plugs too just in case the karaoke down the street was too loud.
