This hotel is in a great location in the Old Quarter. This was our second visit and the staff welcomed us back. Our room 510 - was at the back of the hotel so was very quiet even though this is the noisiest part of Hanoi. The breakfast is good. The sky bar has great views and friendly staff. Overall the staff are great - happy to look after luggage, give recommendations for restaurants, book transfers to the airport etc.

the location was great for being in the old town. Easy access to many restaurants and bars and just around the corner from Train street. The hotel staff were first class. Breakfast was good with fresh made-to-order eggs or omelletes or Pho together with usual buffet breakfast. Comfortable and spacious clean room and facilities - thank you

We loved everything about our stay, especially the staff, who were all excellent. Mike was our main point of contact and he was always easy to contact via WhatsApp. The breakfast and the lunch and dinner options were also excellent. We also enjoyed the happy hour discount for cocktails (which tasted great!). We also really valued the location of Meritel, as we could walk into the centre of the old town easily and there were plenty of shops and places to eat nearby.

Meritel is a wonderful hotel with a great location in the Hoan Kiem district, within walking distance of the lake. The rooms are beautifully furnished (even if the style may seem a little over the top to some) and the staff are very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the rooftop bar, which had excellent cocktails. In particular, Ryan is a genius mixologist, and guests should try his invention, the Old Quarter! A point to pay attention to is that, if you book connecting rooms as we did, one room will always be facing the street, which leads to a bit of street noise, but we found it to be quite tolerable. The advantage is you then have a view into the street. Other rooms which don't face the street only have windows into airwells.

Beautiful rooms, well appointed and in a great location within walking distance of all we wanted to see, and a short walk from Hoan Kiem lake. The staff, especially front of house, were superb, and were so kind when we needed to stay an extra night because I was unwell.

We booked a room without a street-facing window. I was fine with it, but my husband preferred to have natural light. So if you're particular about needing natural light, it's better to choose a room with a street-facing window.

I loved the feeling of security and comfort that I got after a long day of exploring and adventuring outside. It was like coming home to a safe harbor. The staff were all lovely and professional; they greeted us with drinks and snacks even when our arrival time was near midnight! They also warmly welcomed us to our room when we returned after a day trip to Ninh Binh. The hotel was just great at making us feel special. The room is spacious enough for me, my husband, and my 3-year-old. The hotel is located near Train Street, and there are tons of great street food options just around the corner. The staff was also swift in helping us book shuttles to and from the airport, as well as a direct shuttle limousine to our homestay in Tam Coc. All in all, would definitely come again!

Best hotel in Hanoi, great gym, swimming pool and rooftop bar. Restaurant in hotel lobby is also very good and I would recommend the hotel for everyone. Great staff and rooms are very nice and clean with great service. Hotel is located in great area, very close to train street with a lot of beer pubs and also very close to the historical centre.

They make the extra effort to ensure their guests are comfortable and looked after, from a bottle of water when going out the door to ensuring a safe crossing of the street. They also check one's room thoroughly before check out to ensure nothing has been left behind, a nice touch. A very comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Location was pretty good. It is facing a somewhat main road. Due to this, we chose to only stay in a room with partial window. That way, i get the best of both world. No noise from the street but with some light exposure from the partial window. The gym is pretty decent for a hotel this price. It's small, but good enough. 2 Treadmill, 1 Smith machine, and good choices of weight. Oh ya, there's a decent rooftop pool. again for this hotel price... awesome.

The staff and the hospitality was amazing. We reached pretty early in the day and wanted an early check-in however the rooms were not vacant. The staff let us use the spa room to take a quick nap which was very helpful since it was a red eye flight. Hotel is right on the main shopping lane with loads of restaurant and food option.

Tried the hotel restaurant. Recommendation and food were good and staff were very friendly. If anything else, it was not a busy restaurant, perhaps they were short-staffed. They took time to give me condiments I asked, by the time they delivered to my table we almost finished - it was not a big deal, overall it was a good food.

My first time staying in this hotel. Property is a retro themed hotel which is classic. Very warm welcome and great staff. Front staff were very helpful and informative. Close to local food places.
