Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IndiaA bunch of small things undermined what could have been a much better experience: (1) The restaurant had a somewhat limited breakfast buffet spread - as an international chain in a major metropolis, one would expect certain standard items like cereal (cornflakes, wheatflakes, bran, with cold milk) and grilled potatoes/tomatoes/vegetables everyday, but these were missing. (2) The bathroom had a very generous shower area and bathtub, but the sink was so tiny and cramped in complete contrast. (3) Water pressure in the shower and the toilet spray was extremely poor - we complained on day one, but they couldn't fix it. (4) Insufficient lighting above the sink, especially while shaving. (5) No place to hang hand towels (napkins) near the sink (6) They are a bit stingy with drinking water - only 2 bottles (350 ml each) are provided per day. There were two more bottles in the mini-fridge, but a prominent sign warned us that these were chargeable. Which hotel of this category charges for water????? (7) No air-conditioning in the lifts - the ride to/from our 10th floor suite was unbearably suffocating, especially in May when it's 35 degrees outside with 80% humidity. All these things added up to a lot of disappointment, especially when we're paying top dollar for a suite-category room.
Great location - just a kilometre from the Opera House, Takashimaya, and Saigon Square. Very prompt, courteous, friendly, and efficient staff in reception, bell desk, concierge, and restaurant. A very large, generous-sized room (suite) and bathroom.

United KingdomIf the bar had been a little more inviting with more atmosphere we would have finished the evening in there before retiring to bed, but that is a very minor point.
A very pleasant stay at the Muong Thanh Grand Hotel. All facilities were clean and spacious and the hotel is situated a short walk from the city's main attractions. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and served in a relaxed and spacious dining room.

AustraliaThe aircon was an old style one, couldnt set it for Eco mode, it blow our heads off, It would have been great to have proper reading bedside lights.
Liked the rooftop swimming pool, nobody was around daytime. Breakfast is excellent, however 70% of the food is Vietnamese ( i would have them for dinner for sure :) ). Room was spacious and quiet. Very close to most of the touristy places, lots of restaurants, cafes and food stalls are around.

United KingdomLimited choice of food for vegetarians for breakfast The chef attempted to make us some vegetarian dishes, but we were presented with dishes containing 'vegetarian shrimp' even though we had explained that we don't eat meat or fish! We eventually got actual vegetarian dishes after explaining exactly what ingredients to add
A good quality hotel with fantastic facilities including swimming pool & spa facilities Very friendly & helpful staff Amazing service with a fresh plate of fruit delivered to our room (executive suite) every day

United KingdomAs outlined above regarding the Evening restaurant staff.
a The overall standard at this hotel was very good, in every aspect. My only concern was that of the evening restaurant staff who seemed to have great difficulty in getting the correct menu order to the table. Every evening I had great difficulty in conversing with the waiters, even with the aid of the menu, I often received the wrong order. The were unable to converse or understand English

AustraliaMore selection of cereals would have been good at breakfast. There was some confusion with the restaurant staff one lunch time, after going through options that wouldn't have meat - with both items coming out with meat in them. Chef remade both the rolls and salad but after waiting almost half an hour, I needed to leave so visited the Poke cafe across the road. Suggest menu have a few vegetarian options.
The location was perfect, a comfortable walk to most attractions. The rooms were a good size and well maintained.

United KingdomIt all worked for me.... I liked it all.
I had a lovely stay in this hotel. The staff were all very friendly and eager to assist. The room was a good size with an excellent shower and most importantly a quiet air con unit. I was lucky to be on the 11th floor so walked out of my room into the small but lovely swimming pool. I mostly had it to myself. The room was cleaned everyday and I got back to find chocolates left for me. Breakfast had lots of choice. I didn't go hungry. Great area to walk to museums etc.

Singaporethe room was small and I mean it was really small compared to other hotels we stayed in district one. also we booked 2 rooms as we travelled 4 pax, but they put us in different levels so it was inconvenient. the room was right next to the service room and the lift, so it was noisy all nights.
the location was good. its was near the saigon zoo, central post office, book street etc,,, all within the walking distance. The room was small but clean and cozy.

New ZealandThe bed was a little on the lower side -reaching just above my knees. The shower head was a little difficult to use or we had problems trying to operate it. Also the hallways and the elevator were not airconed so was pretty hot when you walked out, however the lobby was amazing!
The service was amazing from check in to check out! Really appreciated the service where we accidentally flicked the "do not distrub" button and they called to double check to ensure they could still clean the room. Had a great selection of amentities to choose from and topped up daily.
