Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe hotel presents itself as a wellness retreat. It is not. It is a standard family hotel. The main hotel building is run down and rooms are very basic. However the hotel did respond to our disappointment with our initial room and offered us a room upgrade at a discounted additional cost, which we accepted.

United StatesThe rooms looked worn and poorly maintained for a supposedly 5 star hotel. Not as comfortable as expected. Furniture was falling apart and perhaps the building too. The view was disappointing with ugly unfinished rooftops of the villas in front of the main building.
The pool and restaurant were nice, and the breakfast was exceptional, definitely the highlight here. The local foods were very good by local standards.

Hong KongThe main entrance to the hotel wasn’t obvious. No staff to greet you on arrival after 7.30pm. Shower design in the bathroom isn’t great - water easily leaks out places it shouldn’t go.
Staff were friendly. Breakfast was good.

AustraliaWe stayed at the apartment on the 4th floor where the ocean view. I am almost 190cm tall but the view was terrible even for me.. Because there's tall plants are all over around the balcony so only you can see are weeds. My wife and I were terrifying because a stranger Vietnamese man was walking around the balcony so we could literally see each other. When I asked at the reception, they wouldn't really know if it could be a very serious problem.. They just made their own excuses that 'the man who was walking across our balcony', he was just trying to kill insects so that the bugs and stuff wouldn't bother us. When I took this photo, it was the second time that we saw him. I ran downstairs and told the reception again then the staff told me that.. the man wouldn't see us from outside..? No the man was looking right into our eyes and when we checked from outside, We could see inside of the room very clearly UGH. Please inform this fact, also make sure you are dressed and curtains closed... There was a shuttle bus heading to the Lotte mart and Hoi An city. We took a shuttle heading to the Hoi An at 4pm which they pick up us again at 8pm. Everything was perfect and thankful that they dropped us all. But the thing was the driver or any staffs didn't inform us where to take the bus return to Naman Retreat. Everyone was searching the shuttle about 3-40 minutes all over the station.(THE STATION WAS HUGE!) Kindness is essential and definitely required in this amount of resort. No one really speaks English so it was so hard to communicate as well. Without kindness of all the staffs, NAMAN RETREAT DOESN'T COMFORTABLE AT ALL.
Every hotel staff are naive and kind. Also every facility and the beach, swimming pool look very nice.

United KingdomI had specifically picked this hotel for the fact it had a spa (sauna and jacuzzi) and fitness centre, so I'll mainly focus on this feedback for people looking for the same. I booked a treatment on my first day, and I was told the sauna would be switched on for my arrival. It was not, and once it was on, it didn't get very hot, it was probably the same heat as being outside, perhaps because the door was broken. There was no access to drinking water in the spa, which isn't ideal when using a sauna, and it was also not very clean, so the spa experience wasn't great. The gym was also not great, 2 machines I tried to use were not working, and it's very small for a resort with the amount of rooms/guests this place has. This experience of slightly below par customer service was also something I experienced throughout, for example when trying to order room service, the phone was answered with 'yea, what do you want'. I had also booked a taxi from the airport, but received a message on my arrival to say 'there had been a mix up' and I needed to get my own taxi. Just not the level of service you would expect for a booking of this cost. Overall, the place feels a bit run down compared to the pictures, so right away it didn't match my expectations. The restaurant in my building was 'closed for renovation' and many parts feel neglected, things like this create a bit of a soulless feeling, and all the spaces could use some tlc, including the rooms, which although a good size, didn't feel very comfortable. I was expecting more of a boutique style 'retreat' hotel too as that's in the name, but there were a lot of children everywhere, especially around the pool, so if you are going to relax, it isn't that easy.
It is located in a good position near to the airport, and directly on the beach, and the food that I had was good, both from room service and at the restaurants. Breakfast is very good, lots of variety and well presented. The massage I had in the spa was good, and very reasonably priced.

United StatesThe food is too mediocre, not 5☆ It needs some love, stains on the couch, in restaurant, the paint on the ceiling is peeling off , the furniture needs to be replaced, not 5☆ Many coughing people, groups of people, too crowded not 5☆ The rooms ocean view have absolutely depressing view. Power outlets all loose. Many small things need to be fixed in this hotel, to make it good, but it could be amazing, because of how they initially designed and built the hotel.
I liked the private pool villa design. Somebody designed this villa good in the beginning! The beach and design of everything is good👍

VietnamSuch a big building with only 2 lifts (and 1 lift is out of services on 28 June). How safe it is for this design? Sure I will not come back with the resort having a low safety design like NAMAN.
Breakfast quality is poor - I am served a beef noodle with 1 (one) slide of beef. Orang juices and watermelon juice are mixed of many water so the quality is not good. I came to the restaurant at 08.00 for breakfast but hard to find a table for 2. I walked 2 rounds and no one offered a help. Finally I found 1 table of 2 but a mess.... The dinning tray (tấm tre ăn) are both dirty but the staff just changed 1 new and kept the other but made it down to other side!

AustraliaI didn’t like the apartment we received, I was expecting a nicer room than what we had and it wasn’t clear what I’d actually booked when I booked online. . But ultimately it was fine, the place was so incredible that it didn’t matter.
I loved the location, the beach, the infinity pool, the amazing restaurant decor, the staff.
