How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Nothing to complain about. The mechanism to start the shower was just a bit complicated but we figured it out.
Amazing friendly staff and clean room. The food that they gave us in the morning was excellent as well.

Best for value of money, if you put it in perspective of the price per night this place is amazing. Clean rooms, AC, Bicycle & Scooter rental. The owner also dropped me at the bus station so that i didn’t have to pay for grab!

Very friendly staff and accommodating - even with an early arrival in the middle of the night. Helped book us train tickets. Location very close to Ninh Binh railway station and some great restaurants around the corner (Duc Nhat).

Just a little bit mess under the bed but the room clean in general :)
Staff is amazing, kind, friendly and totally helpful with everything you need scooter, tours, buses. Rooms are ok with AC.

Absence of glass in the windows so need to keep the shutters closed to maintain the temperature of the room. As for noise, no problem at this level. The area is really calm. You can hear the train going by, but it's really very light. If you leave food lying around in the rooms, they can quickly be attacked by ants. Need a power strip to operate both the fridge and the bedside lamp XD
Excellent quality/price ratio. After an 8-night stay, I highly recommend. The service is impeccable and the staff are adorable and attentive. It is possible to return at any time during the night, but you will have to wake up one of the owners ^^7 Free breakfast in the morning! For the rooms, the hygiene is excellent, if there is a need for cleaning, just ask and it will be done within the day. The room is well equipped, the air conditioning works perfectly. The shower requires a little handling but it does the job perfectly. Hot water galore. The mattress is firm, but comfortable! The hotel organizes shuttles to other cities and organized days to visit the surrounding area. Note: the shuttles are of excellent quality.

Motorcycles for rental were horrible conditions! Not safe to use them. Offer to choose another place for rental.

The hotel didn't have actual windows, just holes in the wall without any glass which normally would have been fine. There was some works going on round the property when we were there so a really strong unpleasant smell used to wake us up every morning and it was unmanageable to stay in the room and relax.
Staff very really friendly and helped us with renting a motorbike. Not too far from the train station and has some good cafes/shops around. Nice quiet area.

The town was quite quiet but we were able to hire a bike to get around.
Our host was so friendly and waited until early hours of the morning for us to check in. The breakfast was just what we needed. Our bed was comfortable and our room was clean.

It’s a bit messy but I found it charming. It’s like visiting a family and joining them:)

Staff were incredibly nice and helpful, and the breakfast was large portions of local dishes. We missed nothing while we stayed here.

Maybe the location, but it’s not a deal breaker
The staff by a male. The couple who worked there/owned it were so nice and welcoming and friendly. He spoke good English too. He was also able to book us tours and transport for cheaper than the going rate. Brilliant. Breakfast was also included each day!

If you are travellers it is better to stay in Tam coc as that’s where all the touristy bits are. But it was nice here as it wasn’t so busy.
Rooms are nice, with a good bathroom. Lovely blankets! Breakfast is traditional Vietnamese food. Staff are super friendly and helpful. If your getting a bus I highly recommend booking through them as they do it at a better price than other hotels.

The surrounding is close to the train station so it was noisy at some point, but it is common for most hostels and hotels in Vietnam I guess.
Close to the center, bus and train stations and the Hoa Lu old town. The owners were super friendly and helpful with motobike rent, booking bus tickets, recommending journeys, and extending stay. Breakfast was free and nice also, for such a price.

We had an amazing time staying at New Nhat Minh Hotel. The owner is absolutely lovely! We arrived @5am , which was previously organised, and she was waiting for us. She made the best to accommodate us being vegan/vegetarian. We rented the motorbike to explore the city. I got sick on my last day, and the owner kindly let me stay in the dorm for the day whilst waiting on the bus to another city. It was about 10min motorbike to the tourist area. I would definitely recommend this place :)

I ordered room with a window, but didn't got it because it was said that they are fixing conditioner. They promised that I will get it next day, but than it was said that other customers extended their stay. At the end I succeeded to get room with a "window". It was to another building's wall but still window with fresh air.
Very friendly owners, good and tasty food. You can rent motorbike or bicycle directly from them.
