Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaSome loud guests staying, "domestic tourism". Talking loud, kids yelling early in the mornings seems to be the trend where ever you go in vietnam no consideration for other guests.
I liked the location with a short walk to the private beach. Swimming was nice, but that depends on the time of the year also, no rubbish on the beach as the strong winds had not hit the west side of the island yet. The night time seafood set up on the beach was excellent for dinner. The bungalows are dated quite old. Bed firm but comfortable. House keeping friendly and efficiant. The gardens are excellent. Overall a nice place to stay. Some semi loud bass music from a bar 2 properties away which was annoying and so not fair to the other businesses near by, but always finished by 11pm so no big drama. Motor scooter rental easy and normal rate. Staff are friendly and prompt if any questions. I would stay again next time im back at phu quoc.

BelgiumSmall bungalows and rather old sun beds but this is really not a big deal.
The location is wonderful!! Perfect for the sunset, it is kind of at the end of a beach so it does not get too crowded by people from other resorts. It seems to be family managed. Food is simple and good, we liked the breakfast choice (bread and pancakes beyond the classics). The pool looks small but kids still enjoyed it, it s nice to have both beach and pool.

IrelandNot too many beach loungers, some were broken and they didn't seem clean them. The lady in reception was lovely but the breakfast staff were not very friendly. I "lost" a pair of earrings that I had left in the bathroom so I suggest you don't leave money or valuables visible.
I booked a double room but got a bungalow which was nice. Excellent value for beachfront. I rented a bike from them for 150k, good value, no issue with the bike. Great place to sit and watch sunset.

Positives - this property is right on the beach, so it’s a great location. Some of the staff weren’t particularly friendly or helpful at times, which let it down. Room was spacious and clean. Probably not worth the money however accommodation tends to be more expensive in Phu Quoc so it is relatively good value.

Great location. Easy place to spend time. Clean and quiet patch if beach and sea. Pool does it's job. The beds are very hard but surprisingly comfy one the initial shock has passed. I slept very well. Short walk to other beach bars and nightlife spots so if that's what you are looking for, go for it.

GreeceThe small bathroom window must be closed. If it stays open, you'll have millions of mosquitos at night flying around. Also, the place is dated and it needs better bathroom doors and windows but, to be honest, I couldn't care less. There is no safe also, so just carry the very basic. Still, if you have s/thing important to you, ask the reception if they can keep it for you.
Please remember that we're talking about a 2 star resort. Don't expect 5 star facilities. As long as things are clean, functional and in case of a problem s/body fixes it fast, all is fine with me. I spend 19 days in Nhat Lan and it was my second stay there (first stay was 2 years ago). The whole place was very clean. From the pool and the area around, all the way to the beach. I had a big and comfortable room with 2 free bottles of water per day and fresh towels that smelled really nice and were rather soft. The cleaning staff was available until late afternoon, so you could sleep as late as you liked and still have a clean room when you came back from the beach. My fridge was big and the super market was 15 min. walk. The bed was hard but I was expecting that. It's a resort that caters many vietnamese and this is what they like. I slept fine tho. Air-con worked just fine. I needed a electrical plug changed and the resort electrician fixed it the very next day (after apologizing that he couldn't fix it immediately cause he had to go and buy one from the market the next morning). The garden is gorgeous. The area between bungalows is spacious, so you get lots of light and enjoy the garden without feeling suffocated. You'll need mosquito repelant tho. The restaurant has limited menu but the curry is one of my favorites ever. Also the fish on the beach was fresh and the prices were reasonable. The beach was clean, quiet, with plenty of good chairs to lie or sit, eat, drink and enjoy of the best sunsets you'll see in Vietnam. The water was clean and warm. Loved it. In general, this little 2 star resort is a gem. If you are not of the "nagging" kind, you go and stay there. The price is excellent, the staff is helpful, fun and kind (with real smiles) and the area is perfect. And if you get bored from your side of the beach, you walk for 7 minutes by the sea, pass the rocks and you have another huge one just for you.

CanadaRight on the beach, the location is dreamy. For the price, it’ll be difficult to find better. That being said, for the price and location, don’t expect everything to be perfect. It’s not a 5-star resort. Nor does it market itself as such. This is the perfect place if you want a little tranquility from the busier beaches.
