Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

EgyptUnfortunately the music was louder than I thought it would be, there were days where I could not sleep at all, even with the earplugs provided and with the pillows over my head, and the next day I have missed out on all my plans as I was so overtired. It doesn't really have a hostel vibe, it also only has 1 dorm room and 2 private rooms, if not for the extremely loud music, it would be a lovely family vibe guesthouse, but for the location I think it would be better redesigned as a partyhostel.
This place is spotless clean and beautiful, thanks to the kindest, sweetest woman I have ever met in Vietnam, she is really a sweetheart! And I hope she has a happy life! There is everything you need. And the private room on the upper level has a very warm home-like vibe, it was the nicest room I have stayed at during my travels. The owner is also a very nice lady! As my bus left in the evening, I was also able to check out later, I was offered the late check out for 200.000 vnd but as I found it a little expensive for only a couple extra hours, it was lowered to 150 at the end, which was a kind offer, and it was worth it to be able to get a shower before my long bus journey.

SpainThe noise sometimes disturbed my sleep.
The hostel is close to Bui Vien walking street but in a quiet street, so it’s not that noisy. However, I could still hear some noise from that area. The owner is very kind and helpful and the hostel is very nice.

GermanyYou could hear the music from the walking street in the rooms but we didn’t have any problems with sleeping because we knew beforehand.
The owner and her daughter were very lovely and cared a lot about safety in the dorms and were happy to answer any of our questions. The dorm and the bathroom were very clean. You could also use the kitchen and fridge downstairs, where also free drinking water and some free fruits or treats were available. They provided self-checkin and the location was very good because it was so close to Bui Vien Walking Street.

IrelandGiven that it’s so close to Walking street it can be loud at night, but there are earbuds provided and we used them both nights we stayed and didn’t have any issues sleeping! :)
The location is great, it is located off “Walking Street” a bar and club street in Ho Chi Minh City and 5 minutes walk from the Central Food Market. For other tourist attractions such as the War Remnants Museum or Behn Thanh Market it’s around a 15-20 minute walk but you are sure to get distracted with all the nice shops, parks, churches or stalls you will pass along the way The Hostess, Rose, provides clean drinking water, a kitchen space to use as you please, a small seating area for you to eat your food and a communal fridge for you to store your goods. There are also a nice selection of complementary goodies for you to take. We stayed in the private Double Room. The room is air conditioned and has a nice balcony. It certainly exceed my expectations for the price we paid! Great value!

SpainYou have to be aware that the hostel is located right next to the Walking street which is the biggest party zone in the city. I could hear the music slightly even from the room. I didn't mind but if you wanna get a quiet night stay further from this area.
Very cosy and clean place, friendly staff, very central location.

United KingdomI know the reviews and the hostel warned us about the noise, lots of hostels have street noise which is fine, but this hostel is behind a club which has BLARING music until 5am. I did not appreciate how crazy Vui Bien Street is before booking this place.
Noise aside the location was great! The hostel itself was quiet and didn’t hear any noise from the other rooms. Aircon worked well and bathroom was nice. The staff were super helpful and accommodating!

United KingdomThe beds are a bit delicate. Be careful if you are a tall or chunky western-sized person, they seem to be made for vietnamese-sized people lol. The place is located near the bar street so it is loud at night, but we knew that would be the case and didn't mind. We slept right through it. If you think it would bother you either book elsewhere or bring ear plugs. Would be nice to have a fridge in the room.
Very clean and tidy. The room had lovely decoration. The woman who ran the place let us check in a bit early which we were very grateful for after being on a night train. Great shower, good WiFi, good size room. Very central location near lots of amenities. Easy to get in and out using keypad (which is located on the door handle!)

United StatesLocation, comfort and quiet!
Take a stroll down a local alleyway to experience this quant hostel ran by Mrs. Rose! 🌹 you can’t beat this location, price, clean, comfortable and even quieter then I thought! The people who I have met here already are life changing! What a beautiful way to meet people although there isn’t really much of a community space to hang out, there is to much to see outside!
