Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LaosNot all the water rides were running (this may have been a maintenance issue), but not really a big deal given there was so much more to experience. Some guests were a little noisy at night, but not too late.
Family fun, relaxation and excitement all in one fantastic location. Surrounded by beautiful mountains, the Ebisu Onsen resort is located inside the water park, offering access to water rides, dinosaur park, hot springs, steam, sauna, pools and temple. Free buggy service make getting around the park easy. Staff are incredibly helpful, always asking where you would like to go and offering directions or radioing the buggy service for you. Excellent BBQ restaurant (Asian Style) on site offering delicious BBQ combo meals, hot pot and a la carte menu.

SwitzerlandSome slides were only open at a very specific time during the day. It seems that only 1 restaurant was open in the evening. The massage was not as good/nice as was the massage in a Spa in Da Nang city.
We stayed at Ebisu Onsen with two kids (11 and 13) and 8 adults. The hotel room was really nice. First the sink in the shower didn't work properly but we just had to mention it to the housekeeping staff and they sent immediately someone to fix it. The slides and hot pools were great. Especially the pool landscape is wonderfully done, excellent work! In the restaurant we had once Hotpot and once BBQ which was great and at a very good price.

AustraliaDishonest Staff, The whole resort is run down, hasn't had anyone there since before Covid so everything is falling to pieces and in need of repair. Swimming Area was closed as these was only 2 or 3 people staying there and they didn't want to turn on the Slides or power for a few couples. Buffet Breakfast was Cancelled as they didn't want to do a Buffet with no one staying there so we just got some eggs and bread and certainly NOT what we PAID for breakfast. The whole resort is close to Closing down so VERY DISAPPOINTED that what we thought we were going to wasn't anything like advertised.
They Double Charged us for our Room, Clearly shows on our Bank Statement 2 Payments of the same amount. On confronting them they assured us we would only be billed once and when we found they still billed us Twice they REFUSED to refund the Money

United KingdomIt’s not geared up for Western tourists. Not many staff spoke any English & we really struggled with the restaurants. The food that we did order on the first night was not good & didn’t seem fresh. The second night we avoided the restaurant altogether & ate food that we brought elsewhere. Many of the water slides were closed or they would only open for short periods. It’s a fairly noisy hotel. It didn’t bother us too much, but we could hear guests in other rooms.
The hotel is located within a water park & is an OK alternative for families wanting something different to DaNang city hotels or beach resorts. The setting up in the hills is lovely. The rooms were perfectly comfortable. The resort was fun, albeit super quirky. I lost count of how many times we said ‘this place is weird’! The mud baths were a good experience. Definitely worth doing. It’s only 25 min drive to BaNa Hills cable cars.

AustriaThe hotel has a strange vibe and does not seem to be fully booked when the homepage says it is. There were only few people. After the park closes, only one restaurant is open which is very expensive, almost empty and pretty much only offers buffet. I would suggest bringing your own food or ordering snacks from the room service. Walking around the park on your own (especially after the park closes) is not appreciated, the personnel will take you to the restaurant (which is the only place you can go) via electric car. As the water park and the hotel are in a very rural area, there is nothing to do in the evenings. Water slides are only open for very short time periods. Height and weight limitations for water slides can be a bit restrictive if you are on the taller side.
It's the only hotel inside the water park. If you want to stay there, it is your only option. There were only few people inside the park, we had entire pools to ourselves (on a Monday). Breakfast was ok but not inside the hotel. Water park ticket is included.

SwedenThere was nothing that I didn't like. The place is perfect!
The staff was very helpful. They arranged to add a vegetarian meal for me and my husband as there are no many vegetarian options in the restaurant. Also, they arranged a cake for my husband because it was his birthday. The staff were very attentive and helpful. I will definitely stay in the hotel again. They made our stay an enjoyable experience. The room was very clean and I was surprised to see that the bathtub and shower use hot spring water. The view from the balcony was stunning. The bad was very comfortable. The whole experience at the hotel was wonderful, very relaxing, and enjoyable.
