The excursions are not so interesting, too many tourists and not that exciting. Halong bay is full of garbage and even some oil spill. Companies should join hands to TAKE CARE OF THE ENVIRONMENT to make their business sustainable. It's a shame.

We were upgraded to the more exclusive ORCHID PREMIUM. Food is well presented, plenty of choices. Staff all SUPERB service. Rooms spacious and well decorated. Happy hour great. Staff attentive and tried their best to make our stay a great experience. We were pampered for our double wedding anniversaries and my husband's 70th birthday Indeed a place to celebrate a special occasion to remember.

An excellent cruise which is very well run by Orchid. Orchid were easy to deal with. Only 14 cabins on the boat. The food was amazing.

Ideally, for us, all of the three day passengers would be on the same boat Rather than swapping off some passengers halfway through. But it did not affect iour enjoyment in any way.

This was an amazing cruise that lived up to all our expectations. We loved touring the Bay. The service was first class (especially from Sky). Jerry made sure everything ran smoothly. The room was amazing and the quality of food very high.

Our stay was to short (I wish we could stay there for a week)

In short for those who are looking for a secret escape and not sure if it’s worth your while, this is the one Staff 10/10 Food 10/10 Location 10/10 Activities 10/10 If you are going to try squid fishing allow extra 30min (for fishing) if in doubt, it’s so worth it ! For £240 pp on 2D1N everything was included, minus the extra drinks at the bar

All the garbage in the water. The kayaks that let the water in as it doesn't seem clean. Disappointed that we couldn't get to the village & see more of Cat Ba Island. We were surprised at the high cost of the shuttle but wanted the convenience so paid it and then we're even more surprised to be stopping at a pearl jewellery store. We were shocked on the way back, in the rain, with bags to take, to be dropped off at the wrong hotel (which we clearly told the driver), to make our way in the busy traffic. Very inconvenient! Luckily, our hotel was to so very kind & helpful to us.

We loved the classic boat, all the crew & the natural beautiful of Ha Long Bay & Lan Ha Bay .

The mattress could be replaced as it was soft and saggy. Also, the only disappointment was the massage treatment which was not enjoyable as there were no message tables to lie on and lying on the bed to have the treatment was extremely uncomfortable. Definitely would skip this activity.

The vessel was amazing; all the staff were very friendly and engaging; and food wad beautifully plated and delicious.

As a 2N3D trip did not appreciate the lost afternoon, as the 1N2D folk changed over, had to dawdle for hours until 5pm link up. While it might be a good business decision, it was enough to kill a very good experience for me.

Room huge, and excellent, the balcony fantastic. Loved the decor. Air Con excellent. All meals very generous, good selection to cover different races, cooking quality not quite consistent. Scenery incredible, mesmerising.

It took me quite some time to compare and find the right cruise within our budget, but I was so happy that I was able to pick Orchid eventually, it was the highlight of our Vietnam trip!

The onboarding process was not too bad. Then throughout the stay - all staff members were so kind, rooms were excellent, chef really took care and make sure to adapt each of the meals to our restrictions, attractions was nice and not too heavy - we really couldn't ask for more. Highly recommended way to experience Halong Bay!

Minor things like some smell coming out of the shower when not in use. But otherwise, great!

We stayed in Orchid Classic 2 (there are different cruise ships of the same company). Beautiful ship, nice view from our balcony, clean and comfortable room! Everything was well organized: we had relaxed day trips, good food and great service (especially our waiter LyLy was great knowing all our preferences and allergies).

Everything was outstanding. The whole trip from start to finish was flawless and went so smoothly. Every member of the crew were amazing but in particular Emmanuel and Peter were exceptional. There was a perfect mix of free time and activities and the excursions that were included were incredible. The rooms were outstanding and the food was brilliant. Alot of fish or seafood but could be substituted. Amazing value for money

Nothing - it was fenomenal every details

We had booked the classic cruise originally and I was contacted by the Orchid staff saying that I was upgraded. My first reaction was to be cautions as we do hear about several scams happening with the Halong Bay cruises, but I decided to accept it. What a fantastic experience !! I will be forever grateful for being chosen and have had the chance to be in a very exclusive cruise. The boat has capacity for only 10 people (5 cabines) but we only had 6 guests on board. The boat and the rooms were impeccable. The food was delicious and very generous. But the best part was the crew. They were always helpful and very supportive which made our trip even better. It was definitely a once in a life time experience I totally recommend doing it if Orchid, and while I am sure the classic cruise would have been excellent as well, the premium was just very especial.
