We would have like to do more cruising on the actual boat as opposed to going from it to a ‘day boat’ for the full day excursion.

Orchid Classic 1 was very clean and comfortable. Our suite was spacious and very special.

There was a mix up with rooms where we booked a family room for 4 people. And then added another room for a 5th. When we arrived on board we had an extra bed for the 5th instead. Tiem the cruise director was great, as the boat was full he had to move a couple of the boat to give us what we booked,

It was a beautiful cruise in a fantastic location, enjoyed the day trips to see different locations. Food was amazing, we are vegetarians so we couldn’t have everything on the menu but Our waitress Sky was great and so attentive to our needs that we didn’t need to worry as she managed it all for us.

Our room was next to the engine room so there was some noise while the ship was moving.

We like all the activities that the ship was offering, kayaking, squid fishing, visit to cat ba island. The rooms were very spacious with huge windows, so you can enjoy the spectacular view of halong bay's islands. The staff was also very friendly and helpful.

We had a once in a lifetime experience on Orchid Classic Cruise. The best place to experience Ha Long bay. The boat was beautiful and our rooms were super spacious and luxurious. We had a great time on the tours. The 2nd day village tour was probably our least favorite. This was followed by kayaking in a bay that we had all to ourselves, which was stunning. I was worried about the day boat but it was of equal quality as the main boat and the lunch was as good the main boat. Just take books or activities to do while cruise to the bay. We are vegetarians and they personalized each meal for us. We had different dishes at each meal and eacb meal was so good, and so much of it. I really couldn’t recommend it enough. Special shout out to Tim, Rum and manager Emanuel. They definitely made our trip extremely special.

While the food was okay and there was plenty of it, despite the effort the veggie options were a little plain. Some of the activities felt tagged on (the kayaking was just off the back of the boat with no guide) but this was okay as just being on the cruise in this location is treat enough!

Beautiful boat with very friendly and attentive staff. We had a room upgrade which was wonderful, and extra care was given to give us vegetarian food options. The staff also prepared a great display and cake for my wife's birthday.

We really liked the boat but it was sad to see plastic rubbish in the waters as we sailed through this UNESCO World Heritage site and hope that the many many tour operators can come together to drive a campaign to clean up and better protect the environment of Ha Long Bay. There needs to be less plastic policy on the boat to to educate the public.

The boat was really lovely with spacious cabin and balcony to view the wonderful surroundings of the bay. It was very peaceful on board as we were upgraded to premium from classic and there were only three parties onboard.

The rooms are unreal and the staff was amazing. I would highly recommend the 3 day 2 night cruise, as that give you a full day out on the water. The first day you won’t get started on the boat until early afternoon and the last day you get back to the Barbour around 11-12, so if you do the 2 day 1 night I can’t imagine you get to see too much and that feels like it would be over much too fast. Tien was a fantastic guide and Smile was an excellent server.

The room was a little tired and not so clean for the price that it has. However good for us! The food was almost regular and repetitive among lunch, dinner, breakfast, brunch, for being a luxury cruise. There were too many activities in a short time and not enough time for enjoying the cruise, the room, the view. Both Kayaking and swimming time could be arranged in more interesting areas.. Swimming was just allowed at the end of the boat, with fuel smell. Both the tender boat and the bus for visiting the internal part of the main island were old and tired for the experience's price range, but definitely ok for us! The minivan from the hotel was a bit expensive, considering that we also stopped by a pearl laboratory/showroom/store, that could at least sponsor the transfer ticket. In the night there was one boat in the distance with loud karaoke music by off-key singers. Please ask to all cruise to keep a moderate and respectful behaviour. Some activities that are less indispensable in that location (like tai-chi lesson, cuisine lessons, squid fishing) may be replaced with something more important, like a visit on TiTop island in order to see the bay from another point of view. Another activity we would really like to do as responsible tourists is cleaning the bay from the floating garbage in the UNESCO bay. Vietnamese government could subsidize cruise companies for giving small discounts to customers that want to personally do this cleaning activity, even for 1-2 hours.

The cruise boat is beautiful and rich, traveling in the stunning bay. Having lunch with a moving view of the bay is priceless. We appreciated a lot that we've been upgraded to the luxury suite, incredibly big, full of windows and luxury interiors. Our guide Emmanuel was kind and smiling, also very well speaking in English. He well introduced us the grotto in the middle of the main island. We also appreciated that the staff set the sails upon our request, at a certain moment at sunset. The weather was sometimes cloudy and rainy, but also sometimes very good for enjoying the landscape. There was less rubbish in the bay than we expected, by reading other reviews. Our ship chose a route that was not too crowded and touristic. It was great that in our cruise there was no karaoke neither other noisy entertainments.

Great service all round, and particularly from our host Rum who made the experience extra special! Always very attentive to all our needs. The food was fantastic and plentiful for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The day trips were well thought out and very enjoyable. The jacuzzi onboard was a very nice addition.

everything was excellent, from the moment they picked us up till the end of our trip.. our room was fantastic, way more beautiful than I expected, the food was amazing and the staff was so so kind, especially Lilly and the bar guy (Martin) they were so so sympathetic and hospitable, they really did my stay a really great experience!
