Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyOdd design choices of the room (position of TV, lack of desk light, bathroom design), overall minor details, nothing major
Paradise Suites is a nice and new hotel near Hanoi’s Temple of Literature. The comfortable rooms, attentive staff, and modern amenities make it a delightful stay. The location is convenient and nearby attractions are within walking distance or short taxi ride.

United KingdomWe booked suite which aslo had kitchen, only thing I did not like was that kitchen hob was not working it came up with error message. As I am keen cook I was unable to cook so had to waste some of the food I bought in supermarket.
Locations was great, not too far from old quarters and right by the temple of literature. Friendly staff and doorman, room was spotless and as described in pictures.

NetherlandsUfff what a comfortable room was this! Spacious and so well decorated. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom clean and enough space. Nice hot shower. Nice big tv on which you can watch netflix if you like. Enough natural light because of the big balcony windows. Its in a quiet location. The location is in a nice neighborhood with small coffee shops and great restaurants. There is a market nearby. I like this way better than staying in the crowded super touristic old quarters. This neighborhood is great! For those who are conscious about plastic use and sustainability: they have a waterfilter on the ground floor. I read some reviews complaining about this hotel being in an alley and not easy to find: you can find te location is correctly and clearly on Google maps. This hotel is not in an alley, it's in a cute street with some small businesses and people's homes. It's totally safe.

FinlandWe booked a room with balcony, unfortunately it was only about 40 cm deep like French balcony which was a bit of surprise. But it's better than nothing. Unfortunately my hair oil disappeared from bathroom table while we were in old town. The receptionist would not like to believe that anyone took it (as well as I wouldn't) but we have looked everywhere and the bottle is gone.
Room was clean compared to other hotels this price. Pretty much only floors were dirty. Bed is super comfortable with extra pillows and heavy planket, loved it. The hotel had safe parking place for motorbikes. The receptionist girl was super sweet and kind and spoke perfect english.

AustraliaNo complaints, had a great stay and would stay here again.
Booked this place last minute after a horrible bait and switch experience at our previous hotel (pro-tip: avoid “Lakeview Residence”). This hotel is absolutely lovely, situated a short walk down a quiet and clean alleyway that insulates you well from the noise of the nearby main road. The apartment was spacious, clean and well maintained with a washing machine in the kitchen so we could get a much-needed load of laundry on. Staff were fantastic, spoke great English and were very helpful in switching us to a room with a bath when we requested it. Location is great, very close to the lake/old town/French qtr with some nice restaurants and cafes in walking district.

United KingdomAlthough I was a little disappointed that they couldn’t allow us early check in even though I had put in this request a week beforehand as we had just come off an 11hr flight & just wanted to freshen up before heading out to find our barings & explore the town. There was also very loud drilling in the morning which went on through the day. There was also some construction going on with the lift, which they would’ve warned us about or shut it off whilst they worked on it.
The hotel itself was spacious & clean. The hotel porter was ever so helpful. He helped/recommend & directed us to all the places we wanted/needed to go to.

PhilippinesThey would charge you for the entire stay upon check-in (unlike other hotels that charge only upon check-out), and the payment is nonrefundable. I was supposed to attend an event at the Temple of Literature, that’s why I chose this hotel, but unfortunately, the event location was changed on my fourth day. When I asked the receptionist if I could shorten my stay here and refund the rest, I was told that my payment was nonrefundable. :( Next, the shower doesn’t have an area where you can place your soap or shampoo, which means when showering, you have to walk to the vanity area every time to get shampoo and shower gel. Floor can be slippery, so this setup is not senior-friendly. One more inconvenience is the lack of a microwave inside the room. I was lucky to get a discounted rate, but with the hotel’s regular rate, customers would usually expect at least a microwave in the room 😁
It was clean and looks new. Bed is comfy, and the bathroom amenities worked well. The lounge area was beautiful
