If I'm honest I would skip the hotel breakfast and just walk out the door for sooo much Street food it's ridiculous. That would be my suggestion.

The staff here were amazing. They were very helpful even when we arrived late with a last minute booking because our original hotel had overbooked us. The rooms are quite big for Hanoi standards and the location is fantastic. Very central in the old quarter and close to the lake

The only negative is they lock up at midnight so you need to knock on the door for entry each time you enter exit which they are than accommodating to do.

We came up with an extempore trip idea to Hanoi and found this lovely hotel by accident. Our timetable was very tight and we were not sure what and how much we could actually do during our visit. Anna from Parklane contacted us about our visit and took the extra effort to get us not only transport from/to airport, but inform us of local/close by places and restaurants for arrival day. On second day we took tour with Cozy, which Anna recommended and booked for us. It was for a full day tour which was really good and informative. She is good and clear when helping to plan your visit, for example she straight away told us that overnight stay at Hanoi will not be enough for Ha Long bay visit. Though Parklane is perched in the alley slightly, the location is very good. Pharmacy, convenience store and pond/lake few minutes walk out.

The photos from booking.com have not fully justified how spacious a family room would be. If you travel with more than 2 people, I highly recommend a family room. The reception is not on ground level, in fact, it is on level 1. The step (to step inside the hotel ) is bit high. It may be not convenient to elderly

The service is excellent. Anna, customer care manager recommended a family room for us, which is a better choice, comparing to two single superior rooms. We also booked for airport transportation services through her. She did a great job to make our stay enjoyable as much as possible, and getting the hotel to be known to the world through positive reviews and feedback. ^^ An other bonus point is about the mattress, it is firm and they provide plenty of pillows.

There was nothing I didn't like.

The staff was the highlight of staying at Parklane Central. They were very attentive and always had a great attitude with lots of smiles, they were very welcoming and made my stay even more comfortable. The room was just what I needed, spacious, cozy, comfortable bed, and a huge bathroom with hot water. The location is right near the center of the Old Quarter, near pretty much everything you need. It was a really pleasant stay and I highly recommend it if you are looking to stay in the area.
