Really nice setting by the river. Breakfast and coffee were great! Staff were very helpful especially for booking things like transport and tours. You can rent motorbikes directly from the homestay which was great. Bicycles were free to use.

The riverside location is beautiful. The family are very welcoming and helped us with everything. Our bus arrived early they arranged us an early check in. They arranged our tour and laundry. Excellent service.

The view was the best!! The location is a bit further from the 'center' of the village (a 10 minute walk), but definitely worth it because of the amazing view over the river and the mountains. The host family was very nice and they were always ready to help. Would definitely recommend it!

The staff exceptionally friendly! The wee boy is so adorable, kept us chuckling! Shower water was cold sometimes but was nice in the warm heat! Bed super comfy. Food at home stay was delicious.

Lack of shelves or drawers in the bedroom. There was lots of space so it is strange not to have any storage apart from a table and clothes rail. Tbis is on,y a small point and it didn't really matter. Would definitely stay there again.

Great location, right next to river with very easy access to little beach to go for refreshing swims in the river. Lovely terrace area from which to look at the view and lie on sun loungers. Friendly and helpful staff. Great to be given extremely tasty bahn mi sandwiches to eat in the taxi as we left at 6am to get a train, and they understandably do not serve breakfast at that time. Walking distance from lots of restaurants and the boats to the astonishing Phong Nha cave.

There was nothing we didn’t like about our stay here! It was a great base to explore a new area of Vietnam.

We had a wonderful stay at Coco Riverside! The staff were very attentive, the breakfast delicious and the room was clean & comfortable. The hotel is also only about 5-10min walk to the centre. The views were amazing!! We relaxed, had breakfast and had beers looking out over the mountains. You could also see the views from our room! The staff made things easy and helped arrange a tour for us and our taxi to Dong Hoi. HIGHLY recommend staying here for a beautiful, peaceful escape!

Such a nice stay the location is gorgeous with amazing views rooms are basic but are kept spotless considering we are in the middle of Greenland and on a lake we didn’t see any bugs inside room. Staff were so friendly and helpful we had an issue with the bikes we borrowed and the staff collected us and even organised new bikes for us Breakfast also really nice.

Place was also very beautiful with the most amazing view. My room was spacious and clean. Really recommend this place to anyone visiting Phong nha!!!

Liked everything!

We absolutely loved being right on the river — with direct access for swimming and paddle boarding (paddle boards available to borrow from the homestay) — it had a simply beautiful aspect with the mountains beyond and the hazy heat peacefully enveloping the river. Sitting out on the deck with a cold beer and a book, bathing in the late afternoon sun as it dipped down below the mountains across the way, surrounded by the chatter of frogs and crickets was simply bliss, perfect relaxation and a heavenly way to soak up the gentle pace of Phong Nha. Some reviews mention that it’s quite far from the rest of the village but we were still close to many restaurants/shops and it was only a ten minute walk to reach the hubbub. I think being right in the river makes up for any sense of distance. Hung (sp?), Chang (?) and their family were all totally gorgeous to be around, especially the adorable Leo (age 2.5) who flung himself at us whenever he saw us and bounced on my legs, clambered up my husband, bounded into my son’s arms and generally charmed us all. Hung even volunteered to be our driver for the day (for which we paid him of course) and took us to nearby Bong Lai Valley (absolutely recommend 100%) so that we could visit the hilarious Duck Stop, and have a swim and a drink at The Pub With Cold Beer, and visit Monkey Bridge Farm. All were excellent, chilled out diversions after our day of trekking in the jungle and we were so grateful to him for chauffeuring us around since the only other way we could have got there would have been to hire motorcycles (no thanks, not with three kids), borrow the free bikes (but 15km trip in 37° heat on busy crazy Vietnamese roads didn’t appeal) or walking 3hrs in said heat (literally stupid). Instead, we got the ease and comfort of Hung’s 7-seater air-conditioned car and he was so kind about hanging around while we just totally indulged, plus was able to give us lots of local insight while he drove. Oh!

Not too much it had everything we needed. Some of the other guests were a little noisey late at night but thats not easy to control and it didn’t ruin our stay.

The view from the dining area and the bedroom was amazing! The staff were so helpful and friendly and were happy to go out of their way to make us feel comfortable. So lovely and peaceful and the facilities were fantastic!

Host family of homestay was very helpful and welcoming, prior to trip and during. Clean rooms, excellent location, motor bike hire, nice restaurant onsite, we had both lunch and dinner here, reasonable prices and beautiful food. Drop off services very easy and efficient to organise. Highly recommend

We had an amazing time at Coco Riverside. The views from the terrace were absolutely stunning, and the owners were wonderful too. They accommodated all of our needs, took care of our laundry promptly, arranged transportation to the airport, and even lent us extra towels for our cave tour. Additionally, they were very friendly to talk to. If we ever return to Vietnam, we would definitely stay here again!
