Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Run by a family of 5 who go out of there way to help, we spent a week here and had such a nice time. The nicest of families, we are going to miss you!!! We were so happy that we booked this bungalow. The place is so peaceful and serene. The place looks and smells stunning. So many flowers and beautiful handmade decorations. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help. The shuttle service is excellent. Recommend to use it especially at night, we went to walk one night, encountered many dogs on watch, which was quite scary so either use a scooter, the shuttle or a grab/taxi.

United KingdomThe place is magical - backs into the jungle, away from all the hustle and bustle of the town yet very close to everything. Two exceptional pools and the most beautiful gardens around. It’s a family run business and they are the kindest, friendliest and most welcoming people we’ve met in Vietnam (and they make the best coffee!). Can’t recommend it enough. Thank you for our amazing holiday!

We loved our stay at Valley Sen. We stayed for one week and would have stayed longer if we could. The bungalow was a good size and very clean. We loved the outdoor balcony and the beautiful garden. It was very peaceful. The pool was also amazing. The family and staff were very friendly and breakfast tasty. Can’t recommend this place enough. If you want to relax go here!

A beautiful location and perfect for a relaxing time. They decorated the room for my husband’s birthday! The property was stunning and felt very lucky to be in such a peaceful environment. Perfect for relaxation and to take away the stresses of life. Would absolutely stay here again. All the staff were so helpful and lovely. Felt like home and didn’t want to leave.

United KingdomEverything good.
This property is carved into the jungle, the bungalows, huts and tree houses are surrounded or covered with flowers. We stayed in a tree house, with just enough room for two, though there is a large area below the house which was for our use. We were content to stay on the small balcony alongside the bedroom due to the view over the gardens and pools. The two pools were cleaned daily and were of a decent size. There were swings benches and loungers for our use. The rooms are cleaned daily. The owners/managers were friendly and efficient. We were collected from the airport and made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived. It's within walking distance to the main road, bars and restaurants, though we did occasionally use the free buggy, provided by the owners. The buggy operates 0730 to 2130 hrs. Our favourite restaurant was F5, which is 5 mins towards the airport from the buggy drop off point, I recommend the sweet and sour fish. The contrasting flavours and textures were amazing, they speak good English and will help with menu choices or even local recommendations. There is a free shuttle bus running from the airport to the amusement park, this route takes in the coastal area and main town. F5 will show you where this is. Our favourite bar was the Cheeky Traveller English Pub, this opens at 1700 hrs and closes way past our bedtime, staff are efficient and friendly, as are the customers. We usually walked here, though its on the shuttle bus route. For groceries and drinks etc we went to King Kong Market which is near the pub. The pub has live music

United KingdomA unique, beautiful resort set in a lovely part of the countryside. The resort is very well-maintained by a lovely family who go to great lengths to ensure your comfort during your stay. The resort is set about 20 mins walk from the beach and restaurants and they have an electric buggy to take you up and down any time from 7:30am-9:30pm. There are also a couple great restaurants on the way (Z Coffee and Lemongrass). We highly recommend it and hope to stay again one day!

IrelandThe property was a little far out from Phu quoc so we had to rent a bike to get to beaches and elsewhere. However, the staff operate a free shuttle to and from the town, which has very nice. The bungalow we stayed in was wooden which we found not even the aircon could cool down and lots of ants and other bugs were all over the place in the bungalow! Also, there weren’t any proper windows so it was a little dark inside and we could hear everything outside. These were not massive turns offs, I would definitely stay again!
The property was really beautiful, probably the most in Vietnam. The bungalows were surrounding one of two pools and it was the most picturesque place I’ve ever stayed. A lot of work went into maintaining the garden and flowers. The staff were incredibly friendly and so helpful to us (pick us up from the airport for free). Breakfast was not included but for an additional price, there was great selection and it was delicious.

Czech RepublicThere was really nowhere to put your clothes no wardrobe, no shelves. There was a very handy little room that could be turned a lovely cloakroom but it only had like five hooks in the wall...
It's like paradise on Earth, our family loved everything about Valley Sen. Our room was spatious and lovely, the pool has great layout for both children and adults and we loved the flowers everywhere! Everyone in the family who runs it is always smiling and happy to help us with whatever we needed. The father was always ready to cart us down to the main road or the beach and pick us up again. And, they even got some little cakes and desserts when they learnt it was our daughters birthday which made her so happy.

FranceNo complaints, but if I were to change anything I would maybe add some art or something to the rooms since they are a little bare. This didn’t affect my stay at all, but would just make it feel a little cozier. The shower is unique but also didn’t bother me :)
This place is gorgeous. The gardens are meticulously maintained and sitting by the pool is even better than the beach. The hosts go out of their way to help you. It’s about a 20 minute walk to the main road which ends up not being a problem because it’s either a nice walk or the host will give you a ride back and forth. Also the rides to and from the airport are so helpful and appreciated!

CanadaAbsolutely magical place. Care and thought is put into every nook and cranny here, from the beautiful flowers and gardens, to the pool swing, to the individual balconies and towel art with fresh flowers on the bed for arrival. A bottle of water was given each day and we used the fridge to keep our own store bought drinks cold. The air con worked perfectly and the bed was comfortable. Everything was clean and worked well. We enjoyed the two pools - one was more central and busier, as well as in the sun, and the other was off to the side, more peaceful, and shaded. The staff here are very attentive, helpful and friendly. They always have smiles on their faces and they’re willing to go the extra mile for their guests. We also enjoyed the company of the two friendly dogs (though if you don’t like dogs, they are certainly not in the way). Breakfast is offered for 60,000 dong each morning and beyond that, you can order food and drinks from two nearby restaurants throughout the day and evening and they will deliver it for free. The hotel has water and beer for purchase from their fridge. Motorbikes are available for rent for 150,000 dong. In our opinion, a motorbike is a must on this island as it’s so big. You could get away without one as the hotel offers a free buggy ride to and from the main road between about 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. There really is not much within walking distance, but we enjoyed the peace and serenity of the seclusion. I was unsure if we should book a resort right on the beach/in the main area for a higher cost, but I ended up going with my gut and booking Valley Sen. It was the right decision and I would 100% recommend this resort!

United KingdomRooms are small and a little sparse (a bit of art work would be nice)
I could not recommend more! 1 of the few places on the island that provides a 2 bedroom family Villa with a pool and close to the beach. This place is a family friendly, beautifully kept, super friendly and helpfully family business. There are 2 beautiful swimming pools (with pool toys) and beautiful gardens for kids to explore. We were only going to stay for 2 nights but stayed for 6. There is free electric buggy service to and from, any close restaurants, shops on the main road and the local beach which is fairly quite and has palm shade and used by locals and tourists. Where I find most of Vietnam tourism being geared to extracting the most money possible out of foreigners, I found this place fair, trustworthy and kind - like I was not a walking dollar sign. Thank you for a beautiful, stress free stay.

NetherlandsWe’ve enjoyed every second of our 5 night stay at Valley Sen Bungalow. The surrounding area is beautiful and quite but not to far from the main road. The hosts we’re incredibly accommodating, kind and caring. They even offered transfer to the beach or main road when needed, which made our stay even more comfortable. The bungalow was clean and spacious enough for the three of us. We would highly recommend this stay!

This is a family run business and is managed so professionally and warmly by this beautiful family. They could not do enough to help you have the best experience at their bungalows during our stay from making delicious and very reasonable breakfasts each morning to providing pick up & drop off at the airport, to shuttling our family back and forth throughout the day in their shuttle bus, providing local site advice & many other things during our three day stay… thank you! The rooms are fairly basic but very clean & comfortable. The gardens, pool area and grounds are all so lovely & we enjoyed it all very much. A terrific experience!
