Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PhilippinesIt's not the property per se but the Ninh Binh tour they booked for us. We chose the most expensive private tour package because the hotel told us that the difference between a $55/pax package and a $69/pax package was that the food is better and the guide is the best. Well, this was not the case. The menu was not given to us in advance and it turned out we didn't like the food and a meat dish was not served to us but we didn't know until after the tour. Worst of all was the tour guide, Leo, who may be good at his script of describing his country and the history of the old capital but was lacking big time in his tour guiding skills. We paid for 16 tickets but 2 couldn't join because of illness but when we had the Trang An boat tour, he insisted to fill the 4-seater boat with 2 more people before it could go even if the 2 empty seats were already paid for. The boat waited for more passengers for a while but eventually allowed to go but should have gone right away in the first place. Secondly, at Hang Mua, all of us had pre-booked tickets but 5 did not go up the mountain. They asked where they can stay while waiting. The tour guide did not tell them that they can explore the park where there are nicer restaurants while waiting. Instead, they were instructed to just wait outside near the bus parking area where there are small stores. They ordered food in one of those stores and 2 ended up with stomach flu. Leo the guide could have attended to the 5 left behind since he didn't go up the mountain with the others so that they knew what else could be seen in the place if you're not going up to the mountain. He was one of the worst tour guide I've met. In the end, the hotel made up for it by giving us a free and very good lunch at the hotel resto the next day.
Overall, the hotel, though not big, is modern, clean, well-equipt, in a good location of the Old Quarter, and of very good value for the price. The family room is spacious & quiet even if it is in front of the street. The bathroom is also spacious with cold & warm shower and hairdryer. The breakfast room at the 8th floor is lovely with a good selection at a reasonable price. Most of all, its best assets are the people who work there from reception all the way to the restaurant. Kudos to Danny, the hotel manager, for a well-run property. Special mention to the very warm, attentive, helpful, friendly & smiling Reception & restaurant staff namely: Jenny, Lovy, Joy, Jollie, Quinn, Aiki, Mia, Paul, and Leo. We were treated consistently well all throughout our 4-night stay at the hotel and they assisted us in finding places to eat. On the last day, we were given gifts and a simple breakfast to-go since we left very early in the morning for our flight back home. I would stay here again if I have the opportunity to go back to Hanoi.

United KingdomThe staff here are so thoughtful, helpful and hospitable! They’ve been helping us plan our tours and coordinate with different operators for our pickup and travels, going as far as packing us complimentary sandwiches for the road. Danny, Quinn, Jenny and Jolly are friendly and eager to provide us with an amazing stay and experience in Hanoi. The hotel is beautiful and new, and the location is also ideal for exploring the Old Quarters, I would highly recommend staying here :)

I stayed in the Eliana Premio Hotel when I first arrived in Hanoi, and returned to it again later in my trip. Both times the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Jollie and to Jenny. The location in the Old Town was perfect, an easy walk to everywhere I needed to go and also to the Railway Station. On both of my stays the room was great. Very comfortable beds with a choice of pillows, nice bathroom with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was good too. I would book again and recommend to friends.

IndiaNothing to say on this as we have to understand that the hotel is in old quarters so traffic situation will be always horrible and specially when staying in old quarters in weekends.
I booked this hotel for my friend and his family with 2kids.The staff was super friendly and took every inch of care required for my friend and his family. There's nothing to complain about, the room was comfy, the breakfast was delicious and staff super nice.

DenmarkOur room didn’t have a window out to the streets but we knew that before booking and it was the last room available but it did not matter at all as we were out everyday. (Stayed for 5 days) When we come back we will definitely book a room with window to the streets. That said we did not need anything else.
The staff was really kind, helpful and informative. Everybody did a great job to make us feel good and comfortable. The breakfast was really nice with lots of variaties and fresh fruit. The location of the hotel was perfect and it felt safe.
