The area of Ninh Binh is not great for western food or as a base for tourism. The main tourist area is Tam Coc with many more options for food and tourism. However if that is not important the hotel is great value and the hosts are wonderful.

Wonderful clean quiet modern room. Staff were really lovely friendly and helpful. They even stayed up when we arrived unexpectedly at 3.45 am!

Personal preference, but the beds were very hard. My partner and I woke up with sore necks and backs.

It was great value for money. I was expecting a very below average room but was pleasantly surprised. Its not the most luxurious but its reasonable for the price. The staff showed us a map and gave us suggestions on where to go which was helpful.

Wi-Fi was weak on the 8th floor over the 3 days I stayed. Other reviews say Wi-Fi was strong, so I assume this may have been a temporary problem or because of my floors high location.

We chose this place instead of Tam Coc since we arrived late at night by bus and wanted no additional transfer. Very nice and modern lobby, nice hotel staff and clean if somewhat old-fashioned rooms, but comfortable beds. Very quiet - and for VND 200k (a bit pricy to be honest) we could get a shower in the evening before catching the night train down south. Good location for the typical attractions, they rent out a scooter for VND 130k/day - and a very nice restaurant with massive portions next door.

The shower was not adjustable so had to hold it which meant we flooded the floor. It was hot though. Location is fine if you are happy to be in a quieter place but there is more going on in Tam Coc.

There was really nothing around, so I would suggest to book something in the smaller towns around. They booked for me a car service to go Hanoi at 10h00 am but the morning after started to knock on the door and calling to the room’s phone to let me know I needed to go down because the car was waiting and it would leave at 9h30am, 30 minutes earlier than agreed. Once I got down, the car wasn’t there and one of the persons from the hotel had to take me with his own car to where the private shuttle was. They should try to communicate better. It was quite a mess and had me pack up in a rush.

No breakfast is offered at the hotel and there were limited options close by. The hotel also needs a few finishing touches as some of the renovation works are not complete, such as light cabling on the wall with no fitting.

Nice hotel in good location for Ninh Binh itself. However, as an area, I’d recommend staying in Tam Coc instead where there’s a more trendy vibe. The hotel is modern and clearly freshly decorated.
