The rooms were comfortable, clean, spacious and the view was lovely. The staff were really great and very helpful. The cafe downstairs was delicious, the best coffee we had in Vietnam! The location is also terrific - just outside of the hustle and noise of the main strip but very close to everything.

The family the runs the hotel are extremely friendly and helpful! They helped us to have even better stay in Cat Ba, by helping us with booking our tours and busses. The hotel is in nice location, in walking distance of the hustle and bustle of the main street. Room had everything u need for a long stay + coffee and food in the hotel were a gem 👌

Loved everything about this stay. Great location, awesome Cafe downstairs for breakfast, great room but above all else, amazing, friendly staff that helped us with so much during our stay. The frist night, we didn't have hot water, so we could have a nice shower until following day. The room was not so clean, my son went under the bed and came out "black" they defenitly haven't cleaned there in ages. Motorbike's conditions are terrible(no breaks or suspension, it switchs off any time) seems to be a general problem in the island, everybody offers really old motorbikes for rent. It would be nice if someone has the iniciative to provide motorbikes in good conditions so tourists would be happier.

Family hotel, really friendly and helpful owners who try their best to make you feel welcome and confortable. Room 501 was big enough, bathroom good size, decoration simple but nice, beautiful view to mountains and "lake". Breakfast and coffee are really nice. Kids friendly 100%. They allowed us to stay an extra hour for free.

Clean modern contemporary little hotel with wonderful helpful stuff that spoke good English. The breakfast was good value and a really cosy atmosphere. This was a wonderful hotel.

I would have liked more lamps/lighting options for the room - it was either one bedside table lamp or the ceiling lamp, nothing inbetween, so it kind of ended up too dark or too bright.

I liked that it wasn't smack in the middle of town and still within walking distance of one of the beaches. Staff were very friendly and while you had to pay for the breakfast, the cook does an excellent job!

Some light fixtures did not work but there were multiple so it's alright.

The room is excellent and exactly like photos. They are also a café that serves freshly ground and made coffee and other drinks. Breakfast is also available at the premise. The corgi was a bit sassy but absolutely adorable. The owners were extremely helpful and will try to help you as much as they can, offering advices and booking tours/transportation for you if needed. Overall great experience at such an affordable price. The location is right at the boundary of the centre, so it's quiet and tranquil during our stay.

The staff are so nice and welcoming. The café is very good, great smoothies and breakfast. They lend you bicycles for free and you can rent motorbikes. And the rooms are very spacious and pretty.

What a wonderful place! The family who run this homestay are all genuinely lovely & couldn't be more helpful. We stayed over the Tet holidays and they were great at advising us what would still be open & booked us a boat tour that was still running. They are happy to book you travel options too. Our room was spacious, very comfortable & had a great view over the lake. The breakfast/coffee on offer downstairs was delicious!! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Rustic House to anyone staying in Cat Ba!

The family who runs this coffee shop/Airbnb are so sweet! It is well located and easy to walk to places close by. In 5 mins they had a motorbike that we could rent. The coffee and the breakfast available on the main level is super good with tons of options!

We absolutely loved this place. It had a really lovely relaxed and calm atmosphere. However, the staff were super attentive and friendly. The room was clean and spacious with a lovely view over the lake, and the bed was really comfortable. The cafe was excellent, the best food, great service, and the best coconut coffee we had in vietnam! We used the bicycles and hired mopeds from them also and had the best time travelling around the island. We also got our laundry done, which was easy to do, cheap, and smelt great. It's also in easy walking distance of the beach and local restaurants and shops. We would highly recommend
