The property was perfect. It was very quiet around us but that was fine after a hectic time in Hanoi.

Beautiful room in a Japanese style which was very relaxing, lovely and helpful manager who helped us to organise the right Ha Long day cruise to suit us, with doorstep collection. Easy access to the beach and we had a couple of good runs along the coast.

The room was very spacious, comfortable and had great air conditioning. Our lovely host was very attentive and supportive, providing breakfast and recommendations for buses and tours.

The location can be a negative too, but not too bad IF you're with a motorbike, or don't mind renting one for all your stay. The hotel is essentially in a ghost town, where you can't really find any restaurants or shops, and Grab (and Grab food delivery) doesn't really work either. For food delivery, you can look up stuff in Grab or Google maps, and then ask someone at the reception to help you order by phone.

It's a very clean and comfortable place for a very reasonable price, I ended up staying longer than I originally planned. The owner and his family are incredibly nice and helpful too. The location might be a positive too, IF you are looking for a peaceful and quiet place, far away from the noise of motorbikes, that is just few minutes of walking away from a beautiful beach at Halong bay, this is a perfect place!

The owners are a very sweet and helpful family <3 We loved our stay here! The room was super clean, comfortable, and spacious.The hotel is situated in a quiet area (sun plaza grand world). It is walking distance from Halong Bazaar and close to the shoreline. The walk along the shoreline to Bai Chay beach is amazing. We also rented a scooter from the hotel. Highly recommended 👌

This hotel really exceeded my expectations. The owners are so kind and give so much hospitality that I've never received in another hotel before. The room was very clean and the interior is so nice. We felt very comfortable staying at Samatha and recommend it to everyone who wants to visit Halong Bay.

Everything was perfect expect that it was a bit noisy during the night.

The room was very big and super clean, the host was so nice, she even brought us tea and sweets when we had to wait for our bus.

We loved it all, but be aware that this time of year (January) this part of Ha Long is quite deserted. You get the beach for yourself, but other than that a very quiet neighbourhood.

Very nice couples room, japanese style, clean and comfortable with all necessities available. Increadably friendly owners who went out of their way to help us with all our needs. I could not recommend more.

Nothing to dislike! The location is outside downtown Ha Long which might not suit some but it was next to the beach which was a positive thing for us!

A fabulous family run hotel. The room was spacious and immaculately clean. The beds were large and comfortable. The customer service was exceptional. The breakfasts were great. The owner was wonderful. She even made special vegetarian broth for our pho. We loved this property and strongly recommend it.

We loved so much staying at this hotel! Even though it is a hotel, you get to have cultural exchange since the sweetest family is running the place, they were amazing and super helpful! The interior design of the rooms is amazing, I loved the wall art and the Asian style 😊 Everything was super clean and tidy! I would recomend this place to anyone going to Ha Long Bay! Thank you!!!

Absolutely amazing hotel run by a sweet family that make you feel very welcome. The rooms were really cozy, modern and clean. The homemade food is wonderful and tasteful, and we actually ended up having breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel. Best hotel we stayed in Vietnam. Would really recommend!

Room was the nicest room we have stayed in the whole of vietnam, it looked brand new. We booked the 6hr boat trip and bus to hanoi from the hotel and it was cheaper than the travel shops nearby. Breakfast was also cheap 50k and the lady who ran the hotel didnt know much english but was fine eith google translate but she was so nice and welcoming.
