How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Midori was a fabulous surprise on our trip to Vietnam. The staff was excellent from our arrival to our departure. We arrived early and was allowed to check-in. Our room was spacious, the bed was large and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a great variety. I highly recommend this hotel, if you're going to Hanoi.

Really good to stay at Midori Boutique hotel, a great hotel. Breakfast was great. Staffs were friendly and nice, room was in good conditions with luxury ambiances. Hope to come back to stay again!

I stayed at the Midori Boutique during my recent trip to Vietnam. The hotel was excellent, with a particular emphasis on stellar customer service. As an example, the doorman greeted me by name, and my checkout was expedited once I stepped into the hotel lobby. The hotel also arranged transportation from the airport. I very much enjoyed my time at the Midori and would certainly stay there again.

Checking in and out was seamless. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful. The room was quiet, large and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was superb with food to suit all tastes. We had a great stay in Hanoi!

Excellent stay in Hanoi. Hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and facilities are nice. Breakfast spread is the best during our stay in Vietnam. Location is quite central to all the attractions and easy to get to. Will stay here again if we are back in Hanoi.

Little daylight in my room at the 2nd floor
The staff was wonderful, we booked last minuted and arrived earlier as the normal check-in is, but they were extremely helpful and accommodating. They also gave us great tips for the surrounding, and booked a cab for us to the airport.

I loved this hotel. The rooms were big, clean and pretty. The staff at the reception more than friendly and always helpful. The breakfast buffet is delicious. This hotel is as friendly as the people of Hanoi.

Enjoyed our stay at a better than expected hotel in the middle of Hanoi. On a quiet side street making sleep easy, yet close to good eateries, walking distance to many sites including the lake in the middle of the city, as well as shopping areas.

This is definitely the place to stay in Hanoi. Perfect location. The staff were very friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. My wife and I stayed at two hotels in Hanoi during our trip to Vietnam, and this is definitely the one we'd go back to.

Stayed here for 2 nights at the end of a touring holiday. The staff were very efficient, helpful and friendly. The bedroom was adequate and beds comfortable. Shower was best we had throughout all our trip. Everything clean and nothing to complain about.

We stayed at the Midori hotel in Hanoi for 2 nights and received excellent service. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The front desk was fantastic as they arranged several tours for us. The location is close to the downtown area. Great hotel to stay in when in Hanoi.

I stayed here for 2 nights as part of a tour of Vietnam. Check in was smooth, room clean, spacious and comfortable with large and powerful shower. Free wifi within hotel is useful for sorting out all those photos you will no doubt be taking.
