Everything was great, but two things that could make it even better would be: 1. A mirror in the dorms. 2. Hooks in the dorms to hang your towel.

The staff and volunteers were so lovely and helpful, the restaurant serves really nice food, the vibe at the hostel is so welcoming, most evenings they have some sort of event going on, which is a great way to hang out and meet people, yet you could hardly hear any noise from the dorm rooms (I was on the 1st floor). Highly recommend this hostel, the beds were really comfortable too. There's lots of tours you can sign up to through the hostel.

Sadly we had a room facing a wall so not a lot of light and it was super humid so we could never get our wet clothes to dry, but that might be everwhere on Cat Ba. We rented a scooter that was quite out of shape, but they gave us an option to change it in the city center. But we heard that it seems to be common in the island as well.

The place was beautiful and the room spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was great and the staff really nice, they always answered whatsapp messages really fast (and with <3s eheh)

The cleaners came and change some beds already at 08.30 in the morning. Better let the guest sleep and clean later after check out! I don't like it that you can smoke in the restaurant. Not nice for us non-smokers!

Secret Garden has a very nice vibe where you can both sleep, eat and chill. When I was there they had a free workshop in how to make dream catchers, which was fun to do! The beds are comfy with a big warm blanket and curtains for privacy. There are also big lockers in the room. The place is located in the center of Cat Ba and only 50 m from a vegan restaurant. They also organize tours. Would come back!

This is such a hidden gem in Catba, located directly in the centre of town with an abundance of shops markets and restaurants surrounding. The dog has amazing animals a beautiful cat and dog, this place feels like home. Cosy beds with soft mattresses, yummy cheap food & a really artsy feel to it. Motorbike rental available and help with booking onward travel!

We booked partially because of the pool, so a bit disappointed to see it closed. Showers run a little cold after a short while.

Very nice and cozy hostel. Dorms are great with curtains and lockers, and staff is helpful with luggage storage, motorbike rental etc. Towels included, which is nice. Great and tasty food options in the restaurant, although on the pricey side for hostels.

They were doing constructions or smth and the noise was aweful. Also, the swimming pool was empty.

The place is beautiful and they had the best vegan breakfast that I took in Vietnam. Real bread!! The dorms are cozy and private, also were really comfortable.

When there was live music was very loud and it finish not so early, it’s hard to sleep with that.
