How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

I had originally reserved a 6-bed dorm, however due to a miscommunication among the staff, I was offered an 8-bed dorm instead. Nevertheless, it turned out to be perfectly fine.
The location is great, near all the amenities and the main street for walking. The room and bathrooms were spotlessly clean. The breakfast was average. Check-in was seamless and the owner was extremely friendly. The bed was incredibly comfortable.

For my standards too young and noisy guests, but that doesn’t depend on the hotel of course.
I had to leave earlier due to personal reasons, but during my stay the owner was lovely and made everything to make my stay impeccable, she helped me a lot with travel and food recommendation, trips, even free breakfast was included in a very convenient price for room. I would recommend staying here :)

-at night it was a little noisy because of loud music in a restaurant nearby
-such a lovely staff -very good recommendations for sightseeing and activities, great local tips -spacious, ac& fan-cooled dorm with locker (&lock) -clean bathroom, shampoo and soap provided, hairdryer available -tasty breakfast -central location, lots of restaurants in the area

Lovely place and staff! Breakfast was really good and they made it earlier, when my bus was leaving so early. Good location, shampoo and shower gel included in the room. Thank you!!

Unfortunately I only stayed one night, but I liked my stay so far. Got a private room which was spacious, one bathroom. Good value for money. The owners are lovely and really helpful.

really clean and comfortable hostsl, located in a calm and small side street of the party street from Hué. The stuff is incredibly friendly and will help you with anything you need. Will come again!

The recepcionist offered me a taxi to the airport, then there was no taxi, then there was a shared one, he had me waiting , no taxi camecand in the end I had to rush

Liked the homestay, got a good room - TV wouldnt work tho. Friendly staff, good breakfast, helped me with rice for my phone. Booked the bus tour to hoi ann which was 100% worth it for 300 k dong each

All was great.
Staff is amazing. They help with all and they give you many tips for Hue. Price is ao good and it includes a nice breakfast.

Air Conditioner doesnt work so the room was quite warm all the time. The bathrooms could be better. When you take a shower water covers all the bathroom floor and you wet almost everything. But at least the hot water was great
Location, Cleanliness and very Friendy staff. Nice breakfast and a lot of information for what to do, where to go and regional foods. My friend forgot his sandals when we checked out and they helped us and managed to make them reach us. Good breakfast!

At night before midnight you can hear the karaoke of a nearby restaurant. It was okay as it wasn't too disturbing for my sleep. Moreover as it was located inside a walking street, it's not always possible to book a Grab and bring you directly to the hostel but then again you get more time to walk around the streets! The worst thing I encountered was a cockroach at night in the bathroom... 😔 Good thing it was already gone the next morning
Very great hostel. The staff was very friendly and made me feel at home. They also gave tips on what specialties you can eat in Huế and a book with information about them. The beds are clean and you can look your valuable things in a safe. The location is really great as it's within anwalking street at night with lots of people going there. It's also easy to book tours through them to discover the city 😉

Metal spring beds a little creeky, never managed a hit or warm shower. neither really bothered me, just a note
location in the city, staff are excellent can arrange anything for you scooter or bike hire & trips + forward travel bus.
