Excellent value for money and really nicely located. By far though, the best part of this hotel is the staff. Emily, the concierge went above and beyond to assist us in having the best time in Ha Noi, helping us book tickets to the football, and helping us to problem solve a few travel dilemmas we were having. We could text the hotel whatsapp throughout the day with questions like where to eat, Train Street timetables etc and we'd get a response within a minute. Leo was also fantastic at providing essential information, helping with transport and making our stay super comfortable. The kitchen staff were also fantastic, really attentive and friendly. Will stay here again next time we come.

This hotel was simply outstanding. From the moment I arrived I felt so welcomed by the friendly staff even though it was almost 2am. they checked me in swiftly and then helped me to my room with my luggage room was spacious clean and functional. the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom exceeded my expectations. Breakfast on the top floor exceeded my expectations. The staff super friendly and cooked perfect eggs to order as well as an assortment of hot food both western and Asian. The hotel is excellently located in the centre of Hanoi super easy to get to the old Quarter and the lake. My room was kept immaculately clean throughout the stay, and upon check out the staff were very friendly and helped me make sure my taxi was taking me to the place. I would absolutely stay here again and thank you so much for your hospitality.

The rooms were very nice and clean with good airconditioning. The hotel looked really nice. But most importantly: the staff was super friendly! They helped us very well when we arrived earlier than check-in after a long flight. They offered us a complementary breakfast and we were able to checkin already at 9AM instead of 2PM. We were always greeted with a smile and they were there to help us when we had questions. On our last day we could leave our luggage at the hotel and before the night train we could take a free shower at the hotel. Very good experience!

Charming little hotel, perfectly located in the old quarter but in a quiet street with no tourist shops in sight! We stayed in a family room with balcony facing the street and loved watching the local life go by! Beds a very comfortable. Staff super friendly. Had the best massage in the spa.

The shining hotel is in a perfect location. If you haven’t been to Hanoi before and want to get a feel for the local culture, it is very close to little cafes and restaurants where you can eat or drink coffees like the locals. It is also near the lake and water puppet show and from the hotel you can easily go to other places in the city that you might want to see. The people at the hotel were all very smiley, nice and helpful, whether that is giving us a water proof jacket because they were worried about us getting wet or helping us organise our other trips in Vietnam. Hong, the travel agent, was absolutely fabulous. She communicated with me a lot before the trip and helped organise airport transfer, a trip to halong bay and even helped us organise a pickup from the station after the trip I had planned to sapa before knowing that they would help. It helped the trip run smoothly and made us really safe and comfortable. I would definitely recommend asking the hotel for any support during the trip as they are always there to help. The rooms are lovely and clean and nicely decorated. It was my partners birthday so they even left us a beautiful decoration which was a lovely surprise. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel is clean, the location is excellent, and the staff were just wonderful - always with a welcoming smile. Great breakfast. Staff looked after our luggage while we went to Halong Bay for a few days Food, markets, street performances, coffee shops, nail saloon, and massages all within 1-5 minutes walk in any direction. Highly recommended a stay here.

Tasty breakfast and excellent service. The staff were extremely attentive and even packed us a breakfast for our early flight. The hotel is right near a highway so we were always the first to get picked up and dropped off for excursions that started from Hanoi.

The only downside was the laundry service. This is contracted out by the hotel to another company, but it was not sufficient to remove basic stains like dusk and dirt as they only wash cold for some reason. Very disappointing. We talked to the hotel about our clothes not being properly cleaned and they gave us a discount on what we paid, but still we had to get our clothes cleaned again afterwards anyway. They should caveat that the clothes are only washed in a cold wash. This is often not sufficient no matter how good the detergent!
