I liked everything except the broken bathroom door which just needs to be screwed back on.

The property was great, it was very clean and we enjoyed the pool table in the evening. The banana pancakes for breakfast were lovely. The lady who owns the home stay was exceptionally helpful and dropped us to the bus station at 4am for free, even giving us each a bag of crisps for the journey which was a lovely gesture!

Lovely big room with clean bathroom. The hotel was in walking distance to the town and lots of riverside bars. We rented one of their motorcycles for 2 days whilst staying. The staff are so lovely and picked us up and dropped us off for the bus. They even gave us parting snacks and water! Highly recommend.

Was only a one night stop, but the accommodation was very clean and spacious. Also brought us to bus in the morning, we didn't have time for breakfast and they gave us some snaks to take with us.

Confusion during check in where because I'd booked multiple rooms, I was told they didn't have them (but they just needed to refresh their apps).

Breakfast came with the room and it was delicious. Laundry service was provided and much appreciated. Motorbike rentals and tours are also provided at this homestay; we had ‘Bo’ take us on a motorbike tour and it was an unexpected highlight of our trip.

The furniture in the riverside area could have been more comfortable.

Friendly staff. Charming location. Spacious, modern room. Beds very comfortable. Staff organised transfers and fitted us into a half day tour on the Phong Nha cave because we arrived later in the day and missed the day tour.

The property had good views of the river. The room was clean and everything worked. The rooms were decorated tastefully. Breakfast was standard but the coffee was good. Really nice vegan restaurant about 500m up river!

Our toilet bin wasn’t emptied for 3 days when the room was cleaned. Our towels were changed but not the bin which isn’t very nice. My pillow case had stains all over it, as if it hasn’t been washed as i picked one bit of dirt off. When we went downstairs there was no one there to change it luckily i had my own pillow case in my bag to swap it with, but i’m sure if there was someone they would’ve swapped it immediately. The sheet had black stains over it as well and hairs stuck to the bedroom walls. Whenever we went downstairs there was never anyone there, their son took our breakfast order each morning but we don’t think he was working as he was on the sofa playing games on his phone so maybe having someone a bit more present would be great.

Breakfast was really nice the banana pancakes were great. You order from a menu which has traditional foods and then pancakes so we opted for banana pancakes each day and loved them. You also get to choose a drink too which we had tea & milk. Location was great, there is a couple restaurants down the road which are really good if you walk left from the homestay. Quiet location no noise in the evenings. Rented a scooter directly from the homestay. Staff are so friendly, provided us with water for our onwards journey. Room has a fridge and provided with water which was great.

Don’t know where to begin…we loved it so much we cancelled our overnight bus and stayed another night. The staff here are amazing. They are so caring and lovely, helpful! Bo works there and he is the best man ever! Took us on a cave tour with his friend and we partied with him at night! He is so lovely and the lady who works there is fantastic too. They also picked us up and dropped us off to the bus for free! Breakfast is free. They are great you must stay here and Bo also does really good motorbike tours!!

Nice hotel with a nice view. Big room and clean walking distance to the town center. Picked us up at 2am from the bus station for free. Scooter hire at 150k and bicycle hire for 70k.

Our only small complaint would be the shower which was a little weak, but other than that nothing!

This was an amazing place to stay. The location was perfect. Situated on the outskirts of the town on the riverside, it is perfect for visits to the all the local caves! The hosts were so informative and friendly, we were immediately made to feel at home and were offered pick up from the bus and drop off when we were leaving! The hotel itself was great value for money and had spacious rooms with a great view. The breakfast, especially the banana pancakes were perfect! Despite checking out earlier in the day, we were still able to hire a motorbike and leave our bags at the hotel all day, when we returned, we were given water and Oreos for our bus journey onwards! Amazing! Can’t recommend this place enough!

Bathroom is a little small with no separation for shower and toilet. The floor becomes wet after a shower.

Staff speaks good English so communication is not an issue. Like that this hostel has a one-stop-shop for booking of caves packages, transport to other destination

The most beautiful view from our room out onto the riverside. We loved Phong Nha, a lot less touristy compared to other spots in Vietnam which was great! Our stay at Son Doong Riverside was very nice and easy. Host was lovely offering to pick us up and take us to the bus station! Thanks for having us 😊

The couple was so kind to pick us at 5 am when are bus arrived and to make sure we were dropped off for our bus at the right location. The stay very comfortable good breakfast and arranged tours all great. We really enjoyed our stays thanks for all you do to make your guests a memorable experience

Nothing at all we didn’t like. Loved everything.

Everything was perfect. I’m convinced this is the best family in all of Vietnam. Catered to all our needs and invited us to a family party which was perfect. Providing us with lots and lots of happy juice on the house! Vietnamese people are lovely anyway but this family definitely tops it! couldn’t recommend this enough and if we’re ever in phong nha again I will not hesitate to stay here. I hope to see them again. Lots of love Kyle and Lottie.
