Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PhilippinesIf only there was an elevator, i would have rated this 10/10. Regardless, the staff made an effort to assist me with my bags going to the 4th floor. So it's still a solid 9 for me!
If you're looking for budget friendly, clean and accessible accommodation in Sapa, this is it!!! I booked a room for 2 pax but was actually travelling solo. Still, they upgraded me to a bigger room that was good for 4 in my opinion. My friends arrived the following morning and they allowed me to take them in for a shower at no additional fee. Location is the best! It's just across Sun Plaza station — ideal if you're going to Fansipan. The plaza, church and market are walkable from here. I also like that ATMs, Spas, and convenience stores are just beside this place. I forgot the name of the male staff who helped me with my luggage all the way to and from the 4th floor. He's good in english too! He gave me tips on places to visit in Sapa and how to score good deals for transportation. If you're reading this — i was the one who gave you the dried mangoes! 😂 hello!

MalaysiaThe hotel was good. What could made the hotel further improve would be the aging toilet. The toilet need to be upgraded.
The location it was situated is conducive to all eating place, trekking and cable car. The owner, a very young guy was very helpful and informative. He even accommodated my request for late check out up till 2pm because my train back to Hanoi was 9.30pm.

NetherlandsWhen we where is sapa it was very cold and the hotel has no central heating (like almost every place in sapa). In other seasons this would not be a problem of course but for us it was a bit cold. Although they had an electric blanket which was perfect for the nights :)
We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The rooms are big and clean. Some things are a bit old but nothing to bad. But what made our stay was the host. He helped us with a lot of things! His English is very good and it was easy to make conversation with him. He booked a 3 day trekking for us, helped us with bus tickets and providing information about sapa. He also helped us with planning our trip to Laos.

United KingdomThe beds were hard, but that seems the case with almost beds we’ve had so far on our trip. The music was loud outside but I think that is a given if you want to stay central. The town blasts music and comes alive at night. The tv didn’t work that well.
Son Ha was in a central location, a great base. Room was large and spacious. Two large beds and a great powerful shower… great value for money! the staff were very helpful and friendly.

AustraliaScreaming families late into the night that management could not control and room not sound proof as stated. Beds rock hard, room cleaning needs big improvement. Overcharged because of public holiday and as our earlier booking cancelled on us 2 days before arriving we had no options. Felt ripped off.
Manager was nice.

VietnamThe owner is considered friendly, but bad at payment services. When checking out, I chose to pay via bank transfer, the owner gave me his account at Agribank (everyone tin Vietnam knows that Agribank sucks). After I made a transaction, he didn't receive fund in his account (because Agribank is always so slow like that), so he insisted me to do another transaction into his other MB bank account. He said "no worries, if the fund goes in twice, he'll give me back later via bank transfer, it happens several times". What- so it happens frequently, and he's still using that lousy bank account and made customer pay twice? In the end, I really paid twice, and he gave me back my money the next day. The problem here is, I've never seen anyone who provides service act like that. Normally when service people haven't seen fund went into the account, they'll wait patiently and let the customer go, especially the problem is because of HIS BANK. I literally haven't been made to pay 2 times like this, ever, in this whole country. This makes me feel so unpleasant and never want to come here again even though the room was spacey and nice. If the owner's reading this, please throw your Agribank QR code in the trash and use the other bank instead, for god's sake.

PhilippinesNothing. We enjoyed our stay.
We like the location, because it is right in front of Sun Plaza and it is also near the Church and Lake, easy to get around Sapa Town on foot. Our room is on the 3rd floor, it is big, has 3 large beds and has a heater, there's also hot water in the shower. The owner is very helpful and friendly... he helped us with our tickets to Fansipan and also managed to book us a ride to Ga Lao Cai. Highly recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to stay in Sapa
