Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomAs the location is remote, you have to eat in the restaurant for food. The food isn’t great, but it is ok for a couple of days. Would be great if they offered more tours / things to do and see in the local area.
The room and pool are beautiful, and the staff are very friendly.

NetherlandsThe wifi didnt work in my room, but outside it worked fine. I was not bothered by it, as I really wanted my rest.
Everything was amazing, the people of the Lodge were super sweet and super nice, the location is mindblowing, you're surrounded by local people, the pool is very nice, the room is clean and spacious, the bathroom is really nice. Also the bed was huge, and comfortable, everything is also exactly like the pictures. I also received a bouquet of handmade flowers because it was my birthday, that was the nicest thing ever! And I also received a local thankyou/ goodbye gift, thank you so much for your kindness and for making my Sa pa trip memorable.

GermanyInitially hesitant due to its seemingly perfect facade and sparse reviews, our stay at Supan Ecolodge turned out to be a delightful surprise. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a spacious, beautifully appointed room boasting expansive views of the lush rice fields. While the service was somewhat disorganized, requiring extra lead time for booking activities or transportation (especially buses), the staff remained friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. The refreshing pool provided a welcome respite from the heat, and the breakfast spread exceeded our expectations with its variety and quality. Located a bit off the beaten path, Supan Ecolodge offers a serene retreat away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Although it may be a distance from major attractions, its secluded setting makes it ideal for those seeking a peaceful getaway.

GermanyAbsolutely wonderful place! If you are going to Sapa, you must come here!!!!We spent 3 days here but it's definitely not enough in this beautiful place that great people. Previously we stayed two days in the center of Sapa, we were not satisfied. This is where you will get what you really need. Peace, relaxation, nature, swimming pool, silence, rice fields. Magic. From here you will also do all the trips and the staff will provide you with a great driver who will safely take you to your destination. The food is delicious. The rooms are sensational. Service dear. You absolutely have to book it! Rating 11 of 10❤️

New ZealandThe place is in a quiet area, roughly 30 minutes away from Sapa town. It's surrounded by nature, and by locals. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. The staff was amazing, helping us with anything we needed. Recommended to someone that wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of Sapa town, and wants to enjoy a quiet area with a nice view.

SloveniaUnfortunately we were told that our room is not free on the same day that we were arriving to Sapa (even though we had the booking confirmed for weeks). They offered us an alternative room to stay in, which was half the price of the one we booked, much smaller and with two separate beds - however, we only got 10$ discount because of a national holiday on that day and because it was a last minute "booking" (but it was not really our choice and this was the exact reason we booked it in advance - to avoid price increasing). It's not something that would ruin our experience here, but it was a bit annoying having to move in the middle of our stay - especially considering this was one of our longest stays on the more expensive side, and room-wise we didn't feel like we completely got what we paid for. However we would still recommend this place, because overall it was still a really lovely stay and the staff really tried their hardest to accommodate us and make us as comfortable as possible.
Hotel is beautiful, location is stunning. Rooms are lovely and spacious and the beds are comfortable. We had breakfast and dinner there and the food was also amazing! Not to mention the staff was really kind and friendly.

AustraliaBeautiful, modern, clean and peaceful acommodation, not busy (maybe 6 people all in?) .Very calm relaxing experience. Little bit remote - and that's good! Hard access track and expensive taxi if you're staying longer and plan to do daily trips around Sapa / Supan.

United KingdomThe hotel is quite far from the town centre (30 mins) and taxis in Sapa are very expensive, meaning we spent a fair bit going back and forth. A shared shuttle service could have been ideal to take multiple guests into town at once, as this is where a lot of the attractions/activities were. As it was so expensive/far to get to restaurants, we ate at the hotel quite a bit but unfortunately found the food to be fairly bland compared to what we'd eaten elsewhere. The shower water also unfortunately seemed to turn cold after 5 mins each day.
Hotel was perfect for relaxing and taking in the amazing mountain views / for trekking. The scenery at breakfast and by the pool were unlike any we'd seen in Sapa (dependent on clear skies!). There was a lovely atmosphere in the hotel, with the staff going out of their way to try and make us feel at home. Sung in particular was brilliant and always happy to help. The rooms had a perfect blend of nature, culture and modern comforts (worth noting there is no TV or AC, but they can provide a fan which was pretty noisy). The bed was especially comfortable!

Great Location, great place and The people are extremely nice! the first night my boyfriend and me got food poisoning from something we ate in the city.. they provided us with everything we needed we could even use the bathroom from the empty bungalow next to us so we had two bathrooms. We were feeling really sick and needed to recover and this was just the perfect place. Great view, it’s quiet, nice pool, away from the stress in the city! Come here if you want to relax! We rented a scooter in the city and rode there which was no problem! 100% recommendation

IrelandIt is a bit outside sapa town but they say that on the booking so it wasn't an issue for us. Taxis are 300,000 Dong each way so it's something to consider if you want to go to sapa town. We also didn't appreciate the women trying to sell you trekking tours at the gate of the hotel every time you walk past. We booked it through the hotel instead.
The views from this hotel is very nice. We also enjoyed the pool a lot. The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff were very helpful, they organised motorbikes for us to go for dinner. The breakfast options were good as well.

United KingdomThey could do with a small shop on site selling snacks. There is a shop at the top of the hill, however, the local women follow you... even after you have bought from them the previous day, they still won't leave you alone. Some people may enjoy this but I have social anxiety and get dragged in very easily because I don't like to be rude.
Everything. This place is beautiful. We changed our hotel last minute because Sapa looked too built up for our liking, we wanted something more secluded and we found it! The staff were attentive, our room (no.4) was mind blowing, it was so quiet (apart from frogs and cockerals lol). The prices are so low that we couldn't understand how it is a viable business... they even did it washing for less than £2. They organised all of our taxis, nothing was too much trouble. Seriously stay here!

United KingdomWish I could have stayed longer
the rooms are very stylish with a true Vietnam feel to them. The views are amazing and the staff went out of their way to make everything perfect. It’s located up in the mountains about half an hour away from Sapa town (costs about 300.000 each way) however they helped us sort taxis there and back, it felt surreal to be staying in such a remote place with the locals. Not much to do other than hiking or swimming as it’s so remote but we loved this! And the staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful.

CanadaNot a huge deal but as the rooms don’t have air conditioning (and I don’t think you need it in the mountains) would have loved to have screens on the windows to open at night without worrying about mosquitoes (they love me).
Beautiful new resort set in the countryside. We wanted to be outside of Sa Pa and the quiet setting was perfect for us. Sit by the pool or on the large upper patio and take in the mountains and valley views. Watch the families of neighbouring farms work there fields and see regular Sa Pa life unfold around you. We stayed in two bungalows and they were beautiful and clean with comfy beds and big windows. Bathroom was spacious with big showers and lots of hot water. The staff were helpful and friendly. Giving us suggestions on how to enjoy our time and arranging transportation.

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful place. The view is absolutely breathtaking and the area is very quiet and peaceful. You can just sit on the balcony and relax or watch the buffalos next to you, the kids playing nearby or the men working on the fields. That's what local life is like. The whole hotel area and our outstanding room were very clean and well equipped. We could contact the very polite and helpful staff whenever we needed something or had a question. They even served the food we ordered down on our room so we could eat on our balcony. We really loved the privacy. The restaurant is alo very good why we ate there several times Furthermore they arranged a scooter for us which we found very comfortable as Sapa town is about 10km away. Don't hesitate to book. It's well worth it and we would love to go there again one day
