Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SingaporeMy only quibble is that the room we had, while big and nicely decorated, didn't have a window. But just stepping outside to the courtyard table meant we could enjoy the air just the same.
The owner and manager were both so friendly and helpful in every way. One of our group is vegetarian but wanted to try banh xeo, and they helped us arrange for a special vegeterian meal at a banh xeo restaurant. It ended up perfect. The atmosphere in the courtyard/coffee shop is really lovely and welcoming. The location is completely quiet (rare even in the countryside in Viet Nam) but is very centrally located with several restaurants a short walk away and the Cao Dai Holy See a long walk or a very short taxi ride away. Between the friendly and helpful staff, nice and quiet ambience, and great location, I would definitely stay again.

NetherlandsThe staff was very friendly and gave us a lot of tips about what to do in the area and where to go. The hotel has a beautiful courtyard with a lot of plants and enough shadow. All drinks were free for hotel guests and a lot of fresh fruits were served. We loved staying here! The hotel rooms were comfortable and clean.

NetherlandsThere was a garbagecan in the bathroom but I missed an extra one in the room
The homestay is owned by a very nice family, especially the son Vu provided us with anything we could wish for. When we arrived he showed us all the highlights in the area and restaurant recommendations on the map. Anytime we sat down in the beautifull garden he made sure there was a ventilator close by and immediately came to our table to offer drinks. When we needed to go to the ATM he went there with my partner on a scooter. He even arranged our onward bus for us with a pick up at the homestay. I was incredibly impressed with his hospitality and the service level he provided. Our room was spacious and clean and the airconditioning worked well. They even turned the AC on in advance so we arrived in a cool room. Vu also gave us a kind of fruit wich had a nice smell, to put in our room, such a thoughtfull gesture.

United StatesTầm Quên homestay it's a very special and unique place, peaceful and beautifully decorated. The hosts are great, very helpful with everything, detailed oriented and caring. Perfect location, walking distance to Tây Ninh Holy See (Cao Đài Temple), restaurants and shops. 17mins (11km) drive to the Black Virgin Mountain. There is complimentary bicycle and motorbike to rent at the property for reasonable price. Tầm Quên was the best choice for accomodation in Tay Ninh. Cảm ơn! 🙏🌺✨

VietnamThe hosts are warm and friendly, if you need anything they’ll help for sure. The coffee place and homestay are quiet and full of charm, I’ve felt like at home and would have stayed longer. It is only 15 min by car from Ba Den Mountain and 10 minutes by walking from the Caodai temple. The restaurants around are authentic and delicious.

VietnamThe bathroom needed some cleaning. The first room they gave me was not cleaned as there were a lot of hair strands on the covers and pillows. I asked them to change the covers. They gave me another room after.
The staff were very nice and accomodating. They couldn’t speak English well but always did their best to support. They even helped me find an English speaking tour guide who was very nice. The homestay also has a beautiful garden cafe that offers a vintage vibe. The drinks were also good.
