How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Location. Walking distance to everything but yet away from all the noise. Jonny is a super good host. He takes care of us and ensures that we have a good stay during our entire time there. Highly recommend this hotel.

Johnny was the kindest and most helpful host! We booked travel through the hotel and it all went very smoothly. Johnny also helped us organise a tour around Ninh Binh province with our group. The laundry service was very effective (done in less than a day), and all the recommendations we got turned out to be great!

Nothing, everything was great.
The staff were fantastic. Jonny pointed out all the local activities and helped us book tours. We came with quite a large group, but the staff regularly supplied us with food and water throughout the day. They even gave us a gift for our upcoming train ride. We loved the family-run vibe! 100% recommend this hotel.

Everything was great.
Fab stay. Highly recommended. We were upgraded to the family room at the front of the hotel, which was a spotless, big room. I imagine all rooms were of a similar standard. Very friendly, helpful staff...we hired bikes, did our laundry, and booked our travel to Hanoi through them.

Breakfast was ok, but it would be great to have the option to have some water and more eggs?
Great stay in the centre of Tam Coc. Loads of restaurants and bars at a walking distance. We hired our motorbikes and bicycles here for a competitive pricenand they worked perfectly. Jonny and the staff are really the icing on the cake. Super helpful, and always smiling. Thank you so much for making us feel at home.

The welcoming the staff gave was superb. Any service you need is available at this hotel. The man at check in Jonny was very helpful in making sure everything I needed was taken care of. Motorbikes are for rent and bus tickets also available for good price. There is ventilation in the bathroom which help as most places I’ve stayed didn’t have that . Would recommend to everybody and would stay again .

The guy at the reception was great! He helped us with all our questions, and the service was just impeccable. It is also close to the major attractions and the breakfast is diverse. The room and bathroom is very spacious. I would definitely recommend this place.

All was great
Best and friendliest Hotel in town, family owned! Really nice welcome, great spacious room. They helped us with everything. They even dropped us at our bus stop and called the bus driver since the driver was unable to speak English. Everything went well! We will definitely come again. Thank you, to all of you. Keep the spirit up!!!
