How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Nice hotel well situated for shops and cafes (Sugar a few doors away does excellent coffee and pastries) and a good money exchanger next door. The receptionists are friendly and helpful. The room has a good view toward the pedestrian strip and the Sky tower. Spacious bathroom. Everything functioned as expected. Good aircon. Short walks to shops, luxury and regular, restaurants and coffee shops.

Air conditioner was noisy.
The location was important, easy walk to tourist spots, clean & friendly staff. Value for money.

The first time we stayed here was more than ten years ago. It is obvious that tho hotel has aged a bit during those years. For example, the AC in our room had a hard time to keep our room cool in a very hot city. Fortunately the staff gave us a card to keep the electricity and AC running also when we were out. It is strange that the fridge is not running when you are not in the room!
We have stayed here a number of times and will probably come back again. You cannot stay in a better location at a better room for a decent price, if you choose one of the best rooms, facing the street. Some of the cheaper rooms do not even have a window.

The room and bathroom is quite old and not easy to use, the TV did not work well , quite noisy outside.

The WiFi was weak in my room. I didn’t have a shower curtain on the first day but when I came back to my room on the second day, it was added.
The staff are superb. They gave me a free upgrade and went out of their way to accommodate me to keep the same room for the extra night that I decided to stay at the same price. They also gave me an extra key card to let the air con on while I’m out since my room was on the top floor and got very hot. The location is also fantastic.

The bed was a little hard. We liked the room in relation to the price.
The location of the hotel was amazing and we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Despite arriving very late (1:00 am) they had our booking ready for us when we got there.

-If you happen to be on the top floor the rooms are very hot, we were forced to ask for a second key so that the first could stay in the room leaving the air conditioning on all the time -I found a slightly dirty room -No breakfast, no coffee in the room -Uncomfortable bed but I understand that this might just be my preference

The wifi on 6th floor was woeful, often not working, especially at night??, and when wifi was working it often spent as much time buffering as actually showing content, sometimes more waiting than watching. Annoying when trying to call home overseas, book things or find local things

Perfect location - times square of Ho Chi Minh, yet quiet - off a side street. Friendly, helpful staff. Very comfortable room ensuite.

The decor and facilities in the bathroom were a bit outdated.
We had a large room with a big bed. There was plenty of space and it was clean. The bed was comfortable. We loved the location of this hotel in District 1. It is very close to the boat bus terminal (i.e. river) and a large pedestrian walking area that is hopping at night. It is also near to the Cafe Apartments.

Many rooms have no window, you need to be careful when you book! They have the window rooms and just slightly more expensive, so no real isseu!
Great Location, so close to the main center, amazing! Its also very affordable, that is incredible for this location. Also many nice restaurants just nearby and nice arty gallery shops too.
