Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

VietnamClose environment still look like ghost city. Small parking for motorcycles if we come with a group.
Bathtub in bathroom. Very good idea to replace the TV by a bluetooth speaker. Good restaurants near hotel location, we can walk to get there.

MongoliaFor people who does not speak Vietnamese its a bit troublesome. We arrived in the evening by a taxi and could not find the reception in the property. Called the number provided in the booking.com ... unfortunately it does not respond ! Finally found the reception but confronted with language barrier. The receptionist was very friendly and passionate. However, due to my bad Vietnamese i could not retrieve all information about the place and what we could do there. I booked and paid rooms with a breakfast but did not know that its unchangeable menu for every breakfast. And again if you are not a seafood and fish person - no need to have breakfast there. Fortunately, there is a common kitchen area in the ground floor of the house where your room is located. So you can buy some baguette, cheese, butter, jam, yogurt in the supermarket and have your own breakfast. For 1-2 days stay for seafood eaters - the hotel breakfast is good enough.
Room was exceptional, clean and stylish. Staffs are friendly. Rooms are located in semi-detached houses separated by small streets. We stayed in a 3 floors house where in the ground floor is located a common kitchen area with all utensils for dinning, 2 guests rooms in 2nd floor and another 2 rooms in 3rd floors. I booked two rooms with 'city view' but it was 2 rooms looking the main porch of the house one 2nd floor and other in 3rd floor. Still undergoing construction but not really bothered by construction activities. Place was nearly empty during our stay, not many foreign visitors. In one of the house there was an English language course center, i guess in one or two years this place will be ready to receive many foreigners.

NetherlandsArrived early but didn’t let us check in early although the hotel was quite empty. Poor (and far to get to) breakfast (we skipped the second breakfast as it was literally do not worth our time. Eat street food instead. Everything is quite far from each other in the hotel - reception rooms and restaurant. They have a small shuttle e vehicles that can take you from here to there but it’s kind of uncomfortable. There was a very unpleasant smell in the shower which is weird since the building is new. But was very unpleasant. The water warm level in the shower is very difficult to adjust - most of the time you are stuck with way too hot or way to cold water. The arrow and bow practicing looks nice until you find out you need to pay for it - which is kind of ok, but the tickets you need to buy in the office of the museum. Decide to pass…
Quite area of the city. But easy to get into the center if you have a vehicle. Nice to have the private entrance and shared big living room. The bed was very comfortable.

VietnamThe breakfast option was too limited. Really appreciate the idea of introducing the local cuisine to the visitors but limited vegetarian and global options is a minus.
The location is just ideal with good accessibility and calmness. The staff were very kind and helpful. Very clean and beautiful apartment. Value for money.

Vietnam1. Not good preparation for guests to checkin: we notified the receptionist about the checkin time of us. We checked in later than 14:00, however, when we reached there at around 15:30, the room still messy because they had not cleaned and tidied up the room when the previous guests had checked out. We were so exhausted after long trip but had to wait outside of the room without air conditioning operated. 2. When we finally could step in to the room, we hoped we would take a shower to relax. However, many drops of water from the ceiling dropped on my head. In addition, the sensitive shower really annoyed us when we were taking a shower. We called the receptionist to change to another room but they just sent a tech guy to take a picture of the ceiling and check the shower, then said the shower is ok, they would fix the ceiling. 3. When we checked in, they said they had riding horses and archery for us to purchase tickets to experience. However, when we reached the ticket counter to purchase these kinds of tickets, they said they were closed because of holiday here. We checked again with the receptionist to asked them when will they resume these services, she said they were operating =_=‘ 4. Because the distance from the accommodation to the restaurant is a little bit far for us to walk on crazily sunny day, so we called the receptionist to prepare a tram (free service there) to take us to the restaurant. We had to waited around 10 mins then we felt no hope so we walked to the restaurant. 5. There are 2 free bikes in front of each house. However, on that they we wanted to take bikes to go around in that area. However, we saw only 1 bike there, we called the receptionist to prepare 1 more for us. She just said because of high peak season, so maybe other guest took it. We knew that, we just needed the receptionist more flexible to have the security guy take 1 available bike from other house for us to take a tour in that area.
Location is central of Buon Me Thuot city, Dak Lak province, so it is quite convienient for you to take a tour around the city and easily find restaurants for meals. The accommodation has 20% discount for guests who is staying there to purchase tickets to visit The World Coffee Museum. However, this Museum is not quite attractive to us because we are not a fan of coffee.

GermanyThe place promotes itself as an eco-tourism place but much of it feels like greenwashing unfortunately. The café and restaurant had hardly any vegan/vegetarian options. For example, there was NO option to have an alternative to dairy milk in the café. There is a lot of construction still happening in ways that doesn't always count as sustainable - e.g. sustainable materials, smart water/irrigation systems or solar panels. The construction plans of creating shopping facilities with popular western brands completely defeats the point of eco-tourism, which is such a shame. The Coffee Retreat should really re-consider what they want to be and promote. Whilst there have definitely been attempts of making the place greener than usual, e.g. offering free bicycles, it still has a long way to go. Also, one must pay quite a large amount for so many small extra things which should normally come with the price, e.g. using the bathrobes; museum entry, workshops.
The staff was very friendly and the place was extraordinarily clean. The rooms were super cozy and smelled amazing. The community areas were also super comfortable and essential facilities like the kitchen and bathroom were well functioning. Most of the time, the staff was on top of requests and could help although some employee's English was lacking. However, as I speak Vietnamese, it wasn't too difficult to communicate. There are some really cool things you can sign up for like a coffee workshop which educates you on the way of making coffee. Keep in mind that for most activities you need to pay extra.
