Beautiful property and well appointed rooms, great experience from start to finish. Special mention for the staff at the hotel - reception, restaurant, management, everyone was extremely helpful and always smiling. Good air conditioning, comfortable beds, convenient work desk, good amenities, coffee and tea provisions in the room. Breakfast is on the top floor, and is a la carte with a good variety to choose from. Truly deserving of the high ratings and praise this hotel gets. After 2 years of little to no tourism and closures, many hotels in Vietnam have suffered from the lack of upkeep and general maintenance. I experienced this at another hotel in Hanoi at the beginning of my trip when I stayed for 2 nights. While the hotel was rated above 9, it was close to a 6. But I am happy to report that La Selva is a wonderful hotel that has been refreshed and works hard to give its guests the best experience possible. Highly recommended. The hotel is in a great location in the middle of the old quarter, everything you need is within walking distance. The hotel itself was lovely and clean, rooms comfortable and very well sound proofed from the bustling streets. Shoutout to the staff, especially hotel manger Jackie, he could not have been more accommodating. He helped us plan our trip outside of Hanoi which was a great help and when we were checking out of the hotel early, he even organised a packed breakfast for us on the bus which was much appreciated. I would highly recommend staying here and booking your tours with Jackie. It was very reassuring to have him as a point of contact during our trip.

Excellent service from the whole staff. We made our reservation at the last minute, but everything we asked for was organised for us on a short notice from airport transfer to one day tours with a good price and quality. The breakfast has a good variety, should be something for everyone. Nice atmosphere and great service. We had the room with balcony. The room is OK, and the bed is good. The bathroom is not big, but clean and the shower is spacious.

Didn't realise that not having a window in the room would be such a big deal as our natural body clock was shut off due to the lack of sunlight entering the room in the morning/daytime. We had to accept this as it was something we were aware of upon booking the room. We would stay here again, although we would book a room with a window next time.

Staff pay a lot of attention to detail, especially in helping you plan your trip. The room was big enough to move around and bed comfortable to sleep in. Rooftop restaurant was a nice view of the city for breakfast, felt the French inspiration.

Good little hotel . Excellent location in the old quarters, easy to access to the whole of things to see in Hanoi. All within walking distance of 3-4kms. Furthermore, We found out from the locals that the old quarter houses the best of the best food in hanoi. Love the room concept. For their size, its comfortable. Beds great.The staffs are good. Very accommodating. They are welcoming and good English skills. Get them to organise taxi pickup and drop off to avoid hassles. Again, good value. Dont forget to leave tips for room cleaner. The lady is very sweet.

The room sizes we expected it to be bigger however the rooms were clean and comfortable

Hanoi la selva is located in Old quarters which is closer to lot of places like Hoan Kiem lake and the area has lot of pretty cafés , nice places to eat and it is lively area . The staff was very helpful , Jackie lee who was manager helped us with getting a cab to hotel and in currency exchange and also in getting us a cruise to Halong bay at great price. We absolutely loved our stay!!

We had a very pleasant stay in this hotel for one night, between one flight and one trip to halong bay. Everything was efficient. The hotel is located in the middle of the old Hanoi. The breakfast was better than average and on the rooftop with a pleasant view :)
