Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

NetherlandsWe booked a room with Windows and 2 separate beds. Upon arrival we heard they were overbooked for the first night for a room with Windows. Really a bummer as we booked them to get over our jetlag a bit sooner. I think this happens quite often in the whole area, though the personnel gave us three fair options and a decent room (though without windows). As a refund we choose the 60min massage for the 2 of us; just perfect after our flight we just had. And for the second night we got a big room with windows and a balcony on the 7th floor. Nothing to complain about!
The staff has been really helpful, foremost Henry, Jenny and Mae. We got a load of insider tips on Hanoi, they helped us out on booking a transfer to Trang An afterwards and for bicycles in the city, anything with a smile. The hotel itself is in a good shape; facilities in the room and in general are clean, the pool with a view is amazing for a dip and the breakfast had a good choice of different styles. Never sure on if the excellent service was part of us being white Europeans, and me alone with my 11-year old son, but all the other guests from all parts of the world looked pretty happy as well :))

Perfect location in downtown Hanoi. The staff were lovely. The breakfast had a wonderful selection. The rooms were basic. No window in the room but this did help with less noise at night. The bathroom was small. There wasn’t much counter space for your toiletries.

United KingdomJenny on reception was amazing. She helped us book transport to our next destination and arranged a street food tour. We also arrived very early after a 24 hour flight and she got our rooms ready much earlier than normal check in. Alex on the street food tour around Hanoi was brilliant. We learnt so much about the culture and history of Vietnam and the restaurants we went to were delicious. The tour ended up with an egg coffee on train street. A great location. 12 min walk to St Joseph Cathedral.

We had a lovely stay at the Light. Our room was spacious with plenty of charging points and a large comfy bed. Breakfast was very good with a great selection of Vietnamese and Western food. The poached eggs were perfect!

The staff were super nice , and helpful. From how to get to local attractions to where to find the best Pho. Lem was particularly helpful when we had issues with a pick up for the airport. Thank you! The hotel,is located in walking distance to so many sites. The breakfast is very good, and the rooms are 'cozy'.
