Amazing breakfast. Beautiful decor. Great rooftop verandah looking onto the bay. Great for sunsets. Take a beer up. Great service. Perfect central location. Do take their recommended walk between beaches 1&3. Very pretty. You can catch an ev for 10k vnd to get/return to start pt. Sunset or sunrise are great. Walk or get a lift to the boat station. Beautiful scenery and fun just watching the boats. At times like Hanoi driving. Tour office attached helped us book cable car to leave the island. It rained when we got the cable car but was still great fun. The view was good and would haven amazing on a clear day. 100k vnd extra each is worth it.

I thought that the ensuite was small, slightly bigger would have been better. I also struggled to find a place to put my suitcase and open it without it being in the way when we were walking around the room.

The breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. The location was excellent, because it was walking distance from restaurants and shops. It was nice to walk along the board walk. We had a lovely view of Cat Ba Bay.

There are various karaoke bars/clubs around the hotel which you can hear from the room until 5/6am. But with earplugs it’s fine. Plus this would be the case in other hotels in the area so this is by no means their fault!

It is a really new modern hotel, right in the center. The staff are really nice and they help you book a great one day cruise with their sister company (cat ba ventures)!

I stayed sick in my rooms for 2 nights (my full stay) the bed is absolutely fantastic! But all the room facilities were actually great, very good sized room, completely new. There is a nice little rooftop (no bar/restaurant) to sit and relax while looking out over the bay. It's run by a small team of staff and all of them are great, really do everything to make you enjoy your stay the fullest, big credits to them!

We booked this accommodation last minute but everything was great. Comfortable beds, nice and friendly staff, good breakfast and clean rooms. They also have a travelagency so you can arrange some boat trips right away. The location was in the city centre nearby restaurants

Perhaps consider putting an anti-slip mat in the shower as when the floor was wet it could get slippy.

We had a room on the 10th floor. It was very big, very clean and modern. The staff were all very friendly, helpful and keen to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The breakfast each morning was fresh and plentiful. We would definitely stay here again and we enjoyed our stay! Cat Ba Ventures is on the ground floor which is linked to the hotel. They offered great trips out into the bays and into the national park on the island. We did the one day Lan Ha / Ha Long bay tour and it was amazing! The hotel reception staff were really helpful when booking / deciding what to do. With only a five minute wait, the hotel organised us a motorbike on two days. Very affordable and a great way to get around the island.

There are loud bars nearby, we were in a high floor and had no problem sleeping, but for others this could be an issue (but is probably also an issue anywhere in cat ba town).

Most comfortable beds in Vietnam! Stay here for the mattresses alone! Was also a convenient location and breakfast was great.

Everything about this hotel was great! Location, roof top patio, the beds were very very comfortable. We booked for one night and ended up staying three nights. We booked our half day LanHa cruise right at the hotel. Breakfast was ordered off a menu and was very good. They even made my husband a yogurt and carrot smoothie because he couldn't have the fruit. Lots of restaurants, shops and massage places nearby. We loved our stay!

We had an amazing stay at The Moon Boutique. The rooms were very spacious, luxurious, with large, comfortable beds. All the staff were extremely helpful, particularly Son who went out of her way to take care of us throughout our stay, providing great recommendations of what to visit and where to eat, organising transport and even organising a shower room after we had checked out so we were refreshed for our sleeper train to Ha Giang. The location was awesome - right in the heart of the hustle and bustle of old town. The hotel was a real luxurious oasis to come back to at the end of a days adventure in Catba. Couldn’t recommend enough. Thank you for Son and the team for taking great care of us.

Our adventure in Cat Ba, was beyond our imagination. First and foremost, the staff at Moon Boutique Hotel were very kind and friendly, inviting us out for a drink after a long day. Sometimes, they make some mistakes but we are quite understanding. We always contact them when needed because they can assist us as soon as possible. In case the room has a problem, you can contact the manager for a timely solution. In addition, I praise all the rooms for being clean, shiny and meticulously and creatively designed. Furthermore, they were able to arrange a great bay tour for us. During the trip, your tour guide will let you experience many diverse activities and services at Cat Ba tourist area. If you are worried about the price, you should negotiate with them about your budget. Breakfast is served carefully and thoughtfully with Vietnamese cuisine. The menu offers many different options so you can try all the flavors. I really value the time I spend here. We would like to send our sincere thanks from the bottom of our hearts to Moon Boutique Hotel.

Vietnam can be very overpowering.You often have to expect the unexpected. This hotel allowed us to take a step back and relax.

Beautiful. New hotel The staff were very polite and nothing was too much trouble. We had a beautiful view of the bay from our hotel window. We took a tour which was affiliated with the hotel Ca ba ventures. The hotel and the tour created an unforgettable adventure and memory for us.

Beautiful hotel, definitely feels like a 5-star experience. Friendly and helpful staff, great location, clean room, good housekeeping, fantastic food & quick room service. Right in the centre of Cat Ba Town so perfect to walk around at night and get a feel for the city and the people. Within walking distance of many popular attractions too like 2 beaches, popular food spots. The rooftop was very pretty too.

Limited breakfast. You can choose one dish from a selection of western and traditional options. The fried rice was nice, however the pho lacked depth and was missing the usual garnishes. The coffee machine was great, but would be nice if Vietnamese iced coffees were available too.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The fresh juices upon arrival were a lovely touch. Ensuring a smooth trip - they helped organise transport to and from Hanoi, as well as an enjoyable day trip to Lan Ha Bay / Ha Long Bay. They also sourced a motorbike for us (and without us asking, negotiated a lower rate since we only needed it for half the day). The hotel is new with all facilities working perfectly. I particularly enjoyed the bathtub with a view of the bay. The interior design was fresh, unique and beautifully executed without being tacky. The room was comfortable and spacious. Great view from the rooftop (though keep in mind it is not serviced with a bar). Centrally located near the main strip with cafes and bars.

The door to shower room was a lil bigger, so when i closed and lock it, very hard to pull to open it. So just leave it as enough close when using toilet or shower.

Pleasant stay during in Cat Ba. Warmth greetings from staff. Many options of place to eat. Not too many option of breakfast, but very enough option for me to start the day in this island. Was joining their 1 day tour for swimming & kayaking as well. The tour guide was nice local guy and english speaking, and quite fun in kayaking. He also gave option other than kayak to enjoy the sea. Swimming was fun, just the temp very cold for me that comes from tropical country. The food served was good taste as well. Came here in March, not so many tourist coming and and a lil cold breeze as well. Just very nice.

The receptionist Son was very helpful. The rooms were very clean and the beds were so comfortable. The breakfast options were good. Not buffet style but very nice. Good location too. We would stay again if ever back in cat ba.
