I was taking a shower and every time I adjusted the temperature my hand and arm would start to tingle and vibrate! I jumped out of the water and realized that the shower handle was conducting and electrocuting me! I think this was from some loose wiring on the electric hot water heater. Not a very relaxing shower

the decorative lamps were very dusty and some lightbulbs 💡 needed to be changed. the lights are also verrrry white and bright. warmer tones would be more relaxing and homy.

We were on the 5th floor and our friends on the 6th floor, it was too much to climb those steps a lot, so we just stayed out doing stuff until we absolutely had to climb the stairs. The bathroom also had a gross smell even with the toilet lid closed.

Location was great, although it is down an alleyway that a car can't fit down, so you will need to drag your baggage down the street to the accommodation. It was close to the Lake and shopping / food places so a really great location. No breakfast, but there's lots of great places nearby and the lady on the corner does awesome Banh Mi for 30k. The price however was fantastic for a family, we couldn't complain as it was worth it for our family to stay together. We also liked that it was basically two rooms with the bathroom in the middle, so the parents had their own space and the kids had theirs. It also had a double and 3 singles, which was great.

It didn't seem very clean, there were two hairs on the bed that didn't belong to me. The light fittings on the wall were very dusty and one of them didn't work. The bed was not very comfy. The air conditioning did work but the unit looked ancient and it made a lot of noise. The bathroom is in need of replacing, the tiles and taps/shower were all looking very worn/rusty. There is no lift so it is a lot of stairs to walk up with luggage.

This place only cost £13 a night for a double room so it was very cheap for Hanoi. The man behind the desk was helpful. He came up to my room when I couldn't get the air conditioning to work (there is a mains switch you need to turn on before you can use the remote control). He also booked me a taxi for the early hours the next morning to go to the airport, and it was cheaper than Grab. The location is really good, in a side street very close to the historic centre with loads of bars and restaurants on the doorstep. Towels are provided as well as toothbrush, comb, shampoo and shower gel (although it was a whitening one so I avoided).

Small rooms and open shower, any bad smell was coming from the outflow. No elevator, maybe you walk with the backpack to the 5th floor.
