How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

From the amazing front of house staff and very clean bedrooms to the exceptional breakfast I loved my stay here. The staff in particular informed me a lot about Vietnamese culture. Great central location.

I really loved the room. It was huge, all furniture looked new and the bed was super comfy. The bathroom was great, too. The owner is really nice and helpful.

Staff were super friendly and helpful’ breakfast was delicious, rooms were so clean and spacious, the bed was comfortable, tour is always available at the reception desk.

it was the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in viet nam so far, new hotel with a perfect decor inside the room, very clean room, brand new furnitures, staff were super helpful and welcoming, the owner could make everything clear, he could also help us with local boat tour, reasonable price, Would highly come back to this hotel again and recommend to everyone.

The room is quite „full“ with beds, could be mire spaceous, but ok for 2 nights.

A few things were red flags in this hotel: - The hotel is a rebrand of another hotel (New Horizon). Not sure why the hotel got re-branded, but something to be aware of - Breakfast was nothing like the pictures. We got a hard bread with an egg inside as "breakfast". It feels even scammy just to attract tourists because it's "free breakfast" - The staff were pushing hard for us to do tours and transport with them. Even after we said we already had it booked, I kept getting questions such as "why didn't you book with us" often - I eventually did book a transportation to Ninh Binh with reception, and we were told they would drop us off at our hotel. We got dropped off in Ninh Binh, far from our hotel, had to get a cab. Terrible transportation service (it took us 6 hours to get there). It might not be the hotel's "fault", but since they got the money for it, they are responsible for it too. Here is my note to the staff/team: There is no need to oversell something. Just advertise what you actually have and you won't have to deal with unhappy customers. Also, tone down the selling of tours and motorcycle rentals. It felt aggressive and unnecessary to keep pushing for upsell.
The hotel is well located, and similarly to all hotels they offer most services needed (tours, motorcycle rentals, transport). The furniture is new-ish.

The property seems to be quite new or newly refurbished which could be the reason of why it « looks clean » with new paint on the walls and new flooring but if you give a close look there was hair from previous customers in the bathroom, the grouts in the bathroom are pretty dirty and not thoroughly cleaned, the back splash behind the sink was full of toothpaste spills from previous users. You have coffee cups and kettle in the room but no coffee/tea or water to make yourself a hot drink. We got to go out again at night to get water bottles in a shop next door as no one was at the reception to get or pay for a water bottle from the fridge in the entrance of the hotel. We run out of hot water around 23:00 on the second night. Because it was late we didn’t want to bother the manager but had to finish the shower with cold water. We raised the issue in the morning and this was solved few minutes later. [Any reader please note that everyone has their own expectations and cleanliness from one person to another could be different.]
Location is good, 5min from the front beach, modern and minimalist design in the room which is nice when you are not a fan of flower tilled bathroom or old style decor. There is shower screen to stop the water to go everywhere when showering which is nice so that you don’t need to dry the toilet seat every time after showering (hard to find in Vietnam). The business owner was helpful and booked an amazing day trip to Ha Long Bay with a pick up straight from the hotel. Good quality for the bed and clean bed linen. Quick response to solve the issue we had with hot water.
