Cham island was a suggested destination of a dear friend. It has amazing beaches (one of the best at 5 minutes walk from the homestay) and a cool fisherman's village vibe. For sure not for parties although there are quite a few bars. The homestay is conveniently located just outside the village, 5 minutes walk from it and same to Ong beach. The family is extremely kind and helpful and they offer bike and scooter rental for a good price and also every meal if you tell in advance. The room was a decent size and clean.

Unfortunately, the jacuzzi didn’t work during our stay. I hope it has been fixed now.

The staff was no lovely and tremendously helpful. The location is perfect, a couple of nice restaurants nearby.

Ms. Trang is the best hostess you'll ever find. I can't thank her enough for all she did while my husband and I stayed at her homestay - sometimes she'd just surprise us with a free meal, or an orange juice when it was too hot, helped my husband prepare a surprise for my birthday,... It was just great. The room was small but absolutely fine for us, and it was very tidy and clean. At night, it was very peaceful and quiet which was perfect for a good night of sleep and rest. If we ever return to the Cham Islands, we'll definitely stay with Ms. Trang again. Absolutely recommended.

Very low water pressure in the shower and the curtains were transparent, so at sunrise the light comes inside the room.

Everything was perfect! I had the most wonderful stay! The location is great, very short walk to both the main town where the boat arrives and where there are lots of restaurants etc, as well as a very short walk to the nearest beach. In a very calm, peaceful and beautiful authentic area. The building is fantastic with a lovely terrace overlooking nature, the interior is beautifully decorated and feels homely. The room was clean and comfortable . The best part was the host! Such a kind, warm, and welcoming family who helped me with so much and provided a free pick-up and drop-off to the boat. I would love stay again and would highly recommend to everyone!

Everything. Owner was very cheeful and helped me in whatever ways she could. Very genuine person. Rooms were clean and comfy. The patio was really nice and chill to hang out and catch the sunrise. A stones throw to a beach with beautiful coconut trees lined up. Her serene guesthouse is a nice getaway from the bustling crowd.

Nothing Just be ready for the early 6am government wake up call, but even this is an interesting cultural experience! And we loved it. This island goes to bed early and gets up early.

Trang and Vu were exceptional hosts and looked after us incredibly well. It felt a true and genuine experience of the best of Vietnam. They didn’t push anything, but offered tea or food, and helped us when we needed it. They sorted the boat out for a cheaper price, in advance, and also provided transport to/ from the pier. The rooms are basic but clean. Free water is available and green tea is offered in the afternoon, and there is a lovely view over the valley. After a few days there we felt so relaxed we didn’t want to leave. We liked the location as it was only a short 5 min walk into town, and we enjoyed experiencing and seeing village life. For us, it was better than staying in the noisier hustle and bustle of the pier. Ko Lao Cham is charming and definately worth the effort of getting there.

Everything was ok! Communication in English was a little tricky, but worked out in the end!

The place is very close to the pier and the owner was to kind to come and pick us up:) She was very nice, she booked to boat tickets and also organized a private boat trip in the afternoon for us, we loved it!

I think the worst thing was the location as you were more so on the north side of the island. But there is a motorbike you can rent at a good price.

The family was very nice and helpful the room was clean and private I slept in everyday. 5 min walk to a beautiful beach 20 to another south of town and 30-40 to one before the next town. You have to give notice if you want to eat at the home stay in advance the day of. The food was delicious too large portions of well flavored fish rice and soup. I would definitely recommend staying here if you have the chance. It’s a 10 min walk from the ferry also.

The family are very friendly and helpful, there son speaks good English and can help arrange anything you like. They have there own boats to take you snorkeling and can rent you snorkel equipment if you wish to just go to the beaches yourselves. The room is basic but clean and all that you need for a stay on the islands. The breakfast was really good with bread, eggs and delicious fruit! They can also arrange the ferry ticket for a cheap price and will offer to pick you up and drop you off at the ferry pier on the island if you like.

the level of English is a little difficult (but it is the same in all Vietnam). the scooters for rent are old and a little unsafe, double check them before you rent

for the price you pay, it is well worth it. the family is super nice and welcoming. the room is very basic but quite comfortable and clean. there is very little English spoken but the family is so helpful you can overlook it.

Be ready for the 5.30am call but take this opportunity to enjoy the island when it is cooler and tourists haven’t arrived yet.

Homestay runs by a very welcoming family always ready to help. It's at 3 minutes walk of the best beach in the island. One of us got sick and the mother of the homestay took care of her like it was her own child. You feel like your own home there. Excellent price for the quality. I can only recommend this place.

The host, Ms Trang and her family are super helpful and friendly. They always help us with what we need. We recommend you having the meals prepared by them rather than buying the seafood in the market. Their boat excursion services for viewing the coral is good as well. They also help to book the canoe to get to the islands with good price. We recommend you this homestay and their hospitalities.
