Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandNot a thing.
The best homestay in Vietnam! Fresh homemade bread everyday, great coffee and amazing english skills :) The rooms are cozy, great shower and comfy beds. There is a rooftop terrace with nice views and it is very quiet in the rooms, no outside noise. Wifi is very fast! The location is extremely central in old quarter and close to a multitude of places to eat. There are many options for breakfast and it is made with love <3 Thank you very much, we hope to return!

United StatesWe definitely didn’t mind, but travelers should know this is a home stay (micro hotel - 7 beautiful rooms with private baths) so you need to look for the address with a small sign “tranquility” underneath, not a well advertised hotel sign.
Everything. Stella, housekeeping, location, quiet, food, details, comfort, rooftop garden views, cotton sheets and towels. Truly tranquil in the middle of it all. Stella arranged for a great taxi to the airport as well.

RussiaStella is a lovely host! The house is thoughtfully renovated, everything is new and clean. You would have freshly baked homemade bread for breakfast and so taken care of with whatever you need. It is such a rare and prescious thing. Say hello to Stella from me.

SpainNothing. Congratulations Stella and good luck :)
The place is exceptional with all commodities. Brand new, the rooms are very tastefully decorated, they inspire peace. Super comfy bed and pillows and puffy duvet. The shower system is awesome. Attention is paid to all details. The quietness even though being in an extremely busy area is impressive. The family and employees are very warm, friendly and will make you feel like home. The bread they serve for breakfast is made everyday on site. The best place we have slept in by far!

VietnamIn the very center of Hanoi old quarter so it might not be super quiet.
The location couldn't be better to explore the classic old quarter of Hanoi. The house is surrounded by great restaurants, bars, shopping places, and it's so easy to get to anywhere from there. The host was so accommodating, friendly, and knowledgeable and she would assist you with any questions you might have, also a great cook! Elegant room with such beautiful details, high quality furniture, and a super comfy bed. For such a good price, I don't think anything could be better.

Czech RepublicRight in the middle of the old quartier hustle and bustle yet so, so, so quiet. The first place where I managed to get a good night's sleep in the 2 weeks we've been traveling through Vietnam, as it is really amazingly quiet. Great location, nice sized room, clean and comfy, big bed. And the breakfast is fresh and yummy. The host was very kind, responsitive and nice. Would surely chose it again in Hanoi

AustraliaWe had a lovely stay and can only recommend it. The accomodation, despite being located in the middle of the Old Quarters, really offered a place of calm and quiet. Stella was a wonderful host who went above and beyond to provide us with a pleasant stay. We we're even able to leave our big luggage with her while we went to Ha Giang. Thanks for everything!

VietnamThere was nothing that I did not like there.
It was amazing, but by far the standout was Stella's excellent service! She organised so much for us - airport transfers, laundry and a tour to ha long bay. Incredible value for money in a great location, lots of great food and drink nearby and a 5 minute walk from the lake. The room was incredibly comfortable with foam mattress, amazing breakfast with homemade bread, jam, yogurt, especially very preminium coffee bean that I've never had before . Quite and Cozy home in very authentic Hanoian style!

CanadaThere was a bit of a misunderstanding about the room having a terrace. There was a rooftop terrace. There were are no outside windows, but the room still had natural light with the inside windows.
The breakfast was very nice. The homemade bread was delicious!! My husband can't eat eggs, so Stella offered him oatmeal as another alternative. It was wonderful having water left outside our door every day as we tend to use a lot of water. The location was great and the room was large and comfortable. Stella invited us to join her and some of her friends for dinner one night.

IrelandLocation is a small bit hard to find but Stella has done everything to make it easier. She was available on WhatsApp and told us to ring her if we could not find. Within 5 minutes of looking we found it. Using the photo in the properties images was very helpful.
Stella was the most fantastic host. Within 5 minutes of booking she had contacted me on booking.com and WhatsApp which we then used throughout our stay for questions and recommendations. She recommended an amazing dinner place nearby. The laundry service was great and the breakfast was very tasty every morning. Very comfortable beds and room. Rooftop was very nice to enjoy a coffee.

It’s a So nicely room i ever seen in Hanoi. Hanoi is nice place to visit. If you are looking a quite and nice city with some part of old town and the heritage from the past and still keep the main of history with slowly grow up. I heard so many reviews of Hanoi about it's culture, how much fun it is for tourists, it's good food. And yet, I did not see any of this and I'm starting to think I went to.
