Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PhilippinesThe bathtub. I had a traumatic experience in one at another hotel in Spain. Very slippery.
I like its proximity to Ben Tahn market. Just a 2 or 3 blocks away. Breakfast was very good. Rooms are quite large. The staff are very helpful all the way. All of them to be honest about it. A lot of coffee shops and bars around the area. There's a Family Mart right across the street. Very accessible.

GermanySome parts of the breakfast weren't that fresh and could benefit from labelling. We enjoyed however, that there was an option of Chinese breakfast, made according to choice on the spot.
All of our sightseeing was walkable, the area feels very safe and is interesting. The room was standard and clean, with everything you need. Staff were very friendly and readily helped us learn our first words of Vietnamese.

United KingdomThey did not provide free water which I feel should be due to the lack of available drinking water. However, there were plenty of shops nearby to satisfy our needs.
Hotel was very clean and the staff were very helpful. Our room was described exactly as it was received and the air con was great in the heat. Even though we had no window it didn't feel claustrophobic due to the room layout

NetherlandsThe lobby is very simple. May be different set up and furniture for more welcome experience. But we were welcomed by the doorman with a smile every day! Thanks for a wonderfull stay!
Very nice hotel. Central location with lots of restaurants and bars on walking distance. The room was clean and we had a good sleep every night, very quiet although in the middle of the busy streets. Thanks to the staff, they did an early check in for us and cleaned the rooms quickly because we had a major jet lag on arrival! We also liked the breakfast with the fresh passionfruit and local warm dishes. We defenitly choose to come back to this hotel when we visit Ho Chi Minh city again!

AustraliaFor this price, it made sense that it was old, not so clean, with a bit of mould in the bathroom where we found a small cockroach. Faucet and the shower head holder was loose, so very old. Theres stains on the curtains so they’ve probably never been washed or changed. The room is not soundproof, you can hear EVERYTHING that is going on. The streets can be quite loud at night. Worse luck if you have noisy neighbours. Curtains also do not keep the sunlight out so bring eyeshade and earplugs. The reception staff were not helpful with our request to change rooms because we had some trouble with ours. Truthfully it’s a 5/10 stay but we gave 8 just because it’s cheap and the aircon is cool. However I’d recommend spending a bit more money at better hotels.
Location was quite convenient

Singaporewindows are soundproofed but the walls are a LITTLE bit thin so you'll hear a lot of doors closing, people walking overhead, things banging - to be fair it didn't occur after 10pm and only started up again after 7am when we were there, which is fine because we usually slept between then. floor does feel a little dirty but I think they do mop it often, it's just probably from a lot of cleaner being used which leads to buildup.
Room (3 pax) was clean and soundproofed (to the best it could be - you'll still be able to hear music and street noise faintly from time to time), TV had international channels (we watched the King's coronation live), water provided everyday and basic amenities like toothbrush, bath gel, shampoo and handwash provided everyday. Great size for 3 adults. staff were polite and accommodating and attentive. the breakfast was consistent and filling.
