How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The location is amazing, so close to many restaurants and attractions. The staff are also incredibly helpful and friendly. Very good value for money.

We had a lovely time at Tung Trang hotel. Everybody was extremely kind, helpful and shared so much of their life with us. Cannot thank them enough for making our stay in Hanoi more welcome.

It's not a luxury hotel - but that didn't matter to us.
Great location! Friendly and helpful staff were able to provide local advice, and organise an airport transfer at a reasonable price. I have stayed here many times and have always felt safe and welcome. Importantly, they were also able to arrange a late airport pickup and check in when I had my flight arrive late in the evening. The new elevator also made a big difference getting my luggage up to my room. :)

Small hotel with lift.. very convinient.. the room quite small but with a balcony, is a bonus. The staffs very helpfull and friendly.. we also rent a motorbike with them..so easy to deal.. on the other hand, we need to walk from the main street to the hotel because the street too small for a car or minivan to get through..so, be sure on the street's name coz you might be confuse and lost..overall, i love my stay at tung trang hotel.. thank you

A little gem situated down a small alley away from the noise but still centrally located, the beds were comfy, rooms clean and the lady who owns it was so kind and helpful. She helped me book bus tickets to Sapa & Ninh Binh. Thank you! A lovely family run business that I would recommend to anyone

Nothing, everything was great :)
I had an amazing stay! The hotel is in the center of the Old Quarter, so it was easy to get around. The family that runs the hotel is super sweet and helpful. I needed to change the nights I was staying, and they did that with no problem. Laundry service was great and the car to and from the airport was a good deal and made my trip so much easier. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed. Definitely book this hotel if you’re in Hanoi!

Minute ants in the room and bathroom.
The location is very good, on a quiet lane among a wonderful local street market area, and it's possible to walk to everywhere in the Old Quarter and beyond.

Everything was perfect, the hotel has some aesthetic details but the staff is very friendly and helpful.
The location is perfect! There are businesses nearby that are open until dawn, perfect for those who want to grab a bite to eat at night. Compared to other hotels that are in the middle of the street with all the noise of cars, this one is located in quiet streets away from the noise so you will not have problems resting. There is television, a refrigerator with drinks and snacks. There is even a computer if you need to print something at reception.

Our room was small but as it was only a stopover we were not too concerned.
Location was great, in the hub of everything but quiet still being down an alley way. We were only there one night as a stopover, staff were really friendly and helpful.

We can't think of anything to be improved - we felt very welcomed and would absolutely recommend the guest house.
Everything war absolutely amazing. The hosts are incredibly friendly and they are supporting you in every possible way. We stayed for 5 nights and came back for another night. Our room (suite with balcony) has everything we needed and was big enough to pack/unpack 2 big backpacks. The whole guest house was very clean. The hotel itself is situated in a quiet street, even though you are directly in the heart of the city.

The room itself was pretty small, very damp feeling (including the bedding), and the shower room has no ventilation. Was fine for one night at the price point
The staff here were so helpful, they arranged my travel to Ha Giang and were just generally fab at helping me out.
