What a wonderful two nights onboard the UniCharm cruise, everything was exceptional and the crew were amazing. In particular Heiu with the tours and onboard entertainment was incredible!!

We had a spectacular time with UniCharm. We had been warned by friends who had traveled to Halong that it could be overcrowded and unpleasant, so we were weary. We chose UniCharm because they promised to go to secluded spots, away from the crowds. And they delivered beyond our expectations! Everything was great. Our guide Hiu was friendly and professional. Highly recommend!

The communication on where to get the bus wasn't great when getting it from Hanoi. A demonstration in the water of using a two person kayak would be useful too.

We got so much food - lunch when we arrived, dinner that evening. Breakfast the next morning and then an early 4 course lunch before we left. Our guide Tiger was excellent, he shared so many interesting facts with us and was good fun.

There was no pool, which especially in summer could be great.

The cruise brought us past Halong Bay, to Lan Ha Bay, meaning much less tourists. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The beds were very comfortable, and everything was clean. We did lots of fun activities like kayaking, swimming, hiking, cycling, “fish massage”, etc., and it was all very well organised. The one who made everything even better was Dem, our tour guide. His enthusiasm, explanations, thoughtfulness, helpfulness, and sense of humour (he made me laugh so much) contributed greatly to our whole experience. Well done Dem! Well done everyone on Unicharm!

It was cold and windy when we were there. But it's not like anyone can control it :D

The food is excellent. Our tour guide, Hiếu, is friendly and funny, and always tries to take care of us. He also gave us some tips on where to buy souvenirs in Hanoi. The cruise went though amazing scenery and I'm so so so glad we booked this one because it does feel like we own the place ourselves, without being surrounded by other cruises like in Ha Long Bay.

The wifi is only available in the dining room and area is sort of close in the late evening. Would be good if wifi is available in the rooms or in the open deck.

Tour guide Hieu is excellent. He's very engaging, helpful and "funny"; he makes the trip great ! Cruise facility is reasonable considering the price. Room size is quite comfortable. There is no balcony but the full size glass facing the sea. Food are quite good. Activities kayaking (we didn't join) and cycling are fun.

A unique experience! Unlike other cruises it takes you to uncrowded places .. The attention to the smallest detail is something I have not come across in any of the trips I have taken, and believe me , I have traveled a lot .. A special mention to our guide Tiger. A fantastic guy who takes the experience to another level. Thank you for this wonderful experience..

Fantastic trip. We had a great time. The route around Lan Ha Bay was beautiful and the activities were really great around Lan Ha and on Cat Ba. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing trip.

Nothing. We wished we had stayed an extra night!

Well organised trip which was great value for money. We went on the 2 day, 1 night tour. Our guide Dem was amazing and provided lots of facts throughout about the history and culture of Vietnam. We opted for a transfer from Hanoi which was an additional 40 dollars in total for both of us which is a good price and was door to door from our hotel. The service and food boat was incredible, with lots of fresh seafood and fruits. The cabins were clean and comfortable with lovely views out to Lan Ha Bay. The tour keeps away from the main busy parts of Ha Long, whilst still sailing through the main passage.We had a great time on Unicharm and would thoroughly recommend this trip.

We were given an end room and there were 2 air-conditioning units on the external wall, which, when they started, were very noisy and woke us up during the night. WiFi poor; only available in the dining room. No TV signal.

Nice boat, even if a bit older. Very comfortable beds. Hot shower. Good food. Very nice staff. Very friendly guide. Beautiful scenery. Cruising in less populated bays was great. Activities were good too.

There are many cruise offers on Halong Bay and one might be unsure what to do. I can recommend this experience 100%, everything was organized perfectly such as times and things to do. Everyone on board was extremely kind and helpful, we were traveling with our 2 year old child and we had no problems, even when going on kayak and bike excursions. Lastly, I want to thank our guide Hieu, who was simply perfect: present, attentive, funny.

Very well organised cruise around ha long bay and to cat ba island. It was incredible and beyond our expectations. Highly recommend! The boat is beautiful and the activities were very fun. The food was delicious and they catered very well for vegetarians bringing out a beautiful meal each time. Our host Hieu was amazing and the best tour guide we’ve ever had - so kind, welcoming, funny and helpful! We are so happy we made this trip a part of our Vietnam visit, we have so many lovely memories and would love to come back to see more of Vietnam with Hieu and Vega Travel. We were very well taken care of with great hospitality.

Unicharm Cruise is the perfect cruise to avoid the crowd of Ha Long bay (while still being able to see it). We were alone most of the time in paradise. The activities were super, the food good, but most of all our guide Binh was great! He is super nice and available for any need or question about the place. He has a very deep knowledge and will answer to any curiosity you might have. Thank you so much Binh, we’ve had a great time with you!

The room seemed a little outdated and the refrigerator in the room had mold and warm. I told our Tour Guide Louis and he immediately got it fixed. More Western food options like pizza or spaghetti would have been appreciated for lunch/dinner for my child. Bring some snacks/sweets with you before you come on board.

Tour Guide Louis was AMAZING. The bus pick-up in the Old Quarter was convenient and the activities planned for the 3 day/2 night cruise were perfect -- kayaking at sunset, hiking at Cat Ba National Park, and biking (electric cart for my child and me who couldn't bike). The food was tasty with lots of Vietnamese food options. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and we had good water pressure when we showered. The itinerary focused on being away from other boats which was great; it felt like we really got to appreciate and explore Halong Bay/Lan Ha Bay without all the other boats and people around us.

The boat was in good condition, the room was nice and had a private balcony from where you could enjoy the view, the food was great, quite diverse and tasty. The trips were interesting and helpful to discover the area. However, our guide Dem made all the difference, very involved, funny and helpful, and nevertheless a good person, I definitely recommend going with him if you can.

I really can’t think of one thing that I didn’t like!

We loved the small intimate boat.. not too many other guests! Immaculate! Comfortable rooms and beds. Super kind and go-out-of-their-way staff! Great food buffets! Dem, our cruise guide, was adorable, funny, attentive and always kept us where we needed to be! Amazing activities— kayaking in a secret cove, hiking national forest jungles to a peak overlook, cave exploring, biking a Vietnamese village and getting a fish pedicure, relaxing on a Cat Ba beach, cooking classes and more! It was great to finally be using our muscles doing activities on vacation. The cruise was a deal for all we did and saw in 3 days! So many moving parts—- Dem and the staff did it effortlessly. So beyond impressed!! Highly recommend the 3 day/ 2 night stay on this fun UniCharm Cruise!

Good team smaller boat so limited volume of cabins which is welcome as other oprators run a tourist "factory"!. Good food, early excursions so beating the big crowds. Great guide called Rieu.

The ship is getting old but still it’s nice. The staff and the guide was very friendly and funny but sometimes it’s difficult to follow their English.

Well organized trip, good food and very friendly staff. They really took care. We had 2 days/ 1 night and we loved it! Kayaking was great as well as the bicycle tour. We would do the same tour again - especially for this very good price!
