How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Shower was over the bath, which is less ideal for tall people.
Clean room with all the basics provided. Shower was over the bath, which is less ideal for tall people. The location was excellent, close to lots of cafes and the Old Quarter. Not too noisy. Staff were very helpful to arrange our check-in at 2am, and organise a taxi to the airport on departure. For the price, very happy with our stay.

Super friendly staff, great location. I stayed twice here and they stored my suitcase for me when I went on a Ha long bay cruise for 2 nights, which was very much appreciated. Good breakfast was included, lots of variety and fresh fruit, they also cook to order for you as well as the buffet breakfast

Very clean and comfortable. Located on one of the quieter streets around Hanoi old town. I had a room that faced the street and it had two layers of closing doors and dark curtains so I slept great. Staff were welcoming and friendly.

Comfy, clean and quiet room. Lily and staff were super helpful. Breakfast was provided (Continental and Vietnamese food). WiFi worked well. Centrally located. Elevator available. Hot shower. Drinking water provided. And staff was able to accommodate a room change. Overall, we'd consider staying here again!

Hotel is just 2mins walk to bus stop to take Bus 86 to Airport. Super convenient. My stay included breakfast but had to check out 5.30am to catch 1st bus, the staff even prepared simple breakfast to takeaway. So thoughtful and thank you so much.

Amazing stay at the Golden Legend palace hotel with Lily and the rest of the staff, very accommodating and helped us with any information, bookings, laundry or general advice. Breakfast was very good with a great selection of fruits and cooked food. I would highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Hanoi, the location is also perfect.

This place is perfect! Rooms are clean and spacious. Your in the best location possible in Hanoi close to everything. The breakfast is delicious with lots of options. And best of all the staff are super kind and helpful. Anything you need they can help you! We are planning to stay here again on our way back south and are excited to return 😊 Definitely book this place! It’s worth it 👌

The hotel is located within 10-15mins walking distance to the night market on the weekends, shopping streets, lake, temples and Opera. Conveniently located to catch a local bus or cab to move around in the city. The breakfast spread wasn’t lavish but it was good and enough to start your day. The staff were very courteous. Once the booking was done the Hotel sends You a welcome email which also includes information on pick-up from airport, tours and Cruise options. The rooms were neat and clean. Had all the amenities needed. I chose a room with a Balcony and it was fabulous. The view and the set up as well.

Everything was great
Lily was fantastic, she hooked us up with the best day tour to Ha Long bay. Great to be able to get airport transfer service for a small fee. The room was clean, all staff very receptive to everyone and friendly. They had a nice buffet breakfast every morning. Great walkable location.

Pleased with everything.
Great location on a quiet street in the old quarter, walkable to many places. The staff were lovely, room was clean, sheets good quality, kettle, fridge and tea/ coffee/water in the room, great breakfast and best of all, very hot showers! What else do you need for the price!

Breakfast - see above - needs more veggie options,although the chef will cook you an omelette if you request one.
The staff - 11/10 for manager Lily and receptionists Huy, Som and Queen, who were outstandingly friendly and kind - please refer to other reviews here, the superlatives aren’t hype, they are genuinely nice people. Oh, and not forgetting Tang, the bellboy who was unfailingly polite and helpful! The room was in the smallish side, but very comfortable (the bed was good) but not much of a view from the window. The housekeepers were amazingly efficient and the room was spotless. Breakfast isn’t great for vegetarians, but just a short walk away is a very good vegan restaurant. Would I recommend? 100% Would I stay here again? 100% Thank you Lily and team! 😊

Only thing was their credit card reader wasn’t working at the time. But they accepted half USD and half Dong, so we weren’t forced to take out money from an atm
My original review I had gotten confused with a different place! This place was nice and convenient. We ended up using their airport service for $15 usd. Worked great and location was nice. They were very communicative and reached out via WhatsApp prior to our stay.
