Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceThe current staff were polite, communicative and helpful, particularly when I had made an error with my dates and the organised an extra night with a different view. The breakfast was OK - better than the last time I stayed here. The pool was a nice respite from the heat of the day. It is a little sad as the building seems to be slowly disintegrating, at least on the two floors where I had accommodation.

United KingdomWay overpriced for the quality. Our 6th floor executive room was massive, but looked as if furnished in the 70s by Austin Powers! Buffet breakfast was average, and served in a large room with no windows that looked like a school dining hall. The outdoor pool on the 8th full floor was small and clean. But although the pool area offers great views across the Mekong and the city, all the plastic sunbeds were crammed together, had no mats, and many of the floor tiles were broken and trip hazards. There is a pool attendant sitting there all day but if you ask for a pool towel they have to phone down to reception and have them sent up. Badly organised and just bizarre.
Close to the city centre and the river, with the fish market right outside the front door (not too smelly). Nice to be able to watch real life go by. However, the entire hotel is very dated and is massive need of refurbishment - don’t be fooled by the photos!! Only a few staff spoke much English, but they were all polite and smiley.

AustraliaRight outside the front door is the produce market, within metres of the river with all the large & small boats to take you on trips or have a meal. The night markets are 5 minutes walk away.

AustraliaThe room was very ordinary, well below four stars standards. One of our room had a bad odour smell. Almost all the room we booked didn't have the fridge on. After our stay we all agree this hotel should be 2.5 to 3 stars max.
Not much to like about this hotel... Only positive note is the luggage service guys was fanstatic. They help with all our luggage to the room.

GermanyIt was actually horrendous. Although we put even ear plugs in, it was so loud (even without AC on), that it was impossible to sleep. Everything in the room had a thick layer of dust on it and the bed sheets Icked so much, we needed to sleep on the dirty couch. You knew we were only there for 5 hours and you knew, we needed the sleep. I therefore booked one of the most expensive rooms in your hotel, but you probably gave us the worst!
It seemed to have the right location to start the Mekong Tour, but…

United StatesCON: The hotel is located right in the middle of a big and long Fish Market. We had to walk pass the fish market which is full of dirty water, stinky fish smell, and motorcycles driving pass us every time we want to go anywhere. The windows in the bathroom are opened and can’t be closed so all the fruit flies, bugs, mosquitoes, flies and ants came into the hotel rooms. The rooms look very old fashioned and we can smell the raw fishes from the market. There was also stains on the couches. The elevator took so long to go up and go down. Cars and Vans are not allow to drive through the fish market so the drivers had to use the back street entrance. The hotel needs a big remodeled and get rid of all the old looking furnitures. We booked 3 hotel rooms and none of the room is decent. This is not a 4 stars hotel, more like a 2 stars motel.
PRO: Staffs at the hotel was very friendly, helpful, nice, sweet and attentive. Free Breakfast with lots of foods and drinks choices. The pool was great and with a view of the city. The shower was big and cleaned.

CanadaRooms were very smelly of old moldy mildew. So bad I couldn't even sleep. Pool was filled with rain water and not treated. When swimming in the pool there is a high risk of infectious diseases. Clicking noises all long at night in the room along with thin walls where you could hear all other guests on your floor. Street flooding caused it very hard to get around at high tide
Great location for floating market

Staffs are confused when I used English and Vietnamese. I left a charger but refuse to return. Poor customer service. The room lock was not working properly but still refused to change my room. The pool is dirty.
