Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

Helped when my cards didn’t work. fixed my SIM card on phone, got me clothes back when I left them on the boat. organised boat trip and went out of her way to find easy options for travelling with our Down syndrome Son. United KingdomSuperior double room had no windows or external light, so felt a little boxed in at times.
Ann at reception was warm, kind and welcoming. The superior double bed was to die for. The shower and bathroom facilities were of a fine standard, good hot water and fresh towels daily. In-house laundry service was super handy! Working air-con, kettle and fridge made it a very convenient, comfortable stay.

FranceThe room is big,clean and very nice with mouldings on the ceiling, wooden furniture and a very pleasant balcony looking above the très. Very nice at sunrise ! The receptionist was very forthcoming. We were very late due to our plane delay and weren’t able to let him know us but he still waited until very late and saved the evening ! Altogether a great place to stay that we would definitely recommend and are staying at again in a few days.

VietnamIts perfectly located right next to the famous hoan kiem lake. Everything just happen to be nearby. Even for those who had been traveling for quite a while and suddenly dont mind a Big Mac, its all within walking distance. The hotel operator is very friendly and so was the front desk. Definitely one of the best deals around.

United StatesThe noise level is a bit much. I wouldn't recommend staying here on the weekends unless you are deaf. Definitely avoid room 202 as the windows don't fully close and the airgaps allow all the street noise into the room.
Hotel is in the middle of everything which is both a blessing and a curse. Balcony overlooked the street. It was easy to access everything but the street it is on is a scooter parking lot so you get the constanct revving of engines and honking. Staff was very helpful. Moved me from the 2nd floor, felt like I was on the street with all the noise, to the the 5th floor which was quieter during the night.

ThailandFirstly I have book for 5 nights at this hotel (1 night and 4 more nights), when I check-in the hotel reception ask me to cancel 4 more nights and they will give me more discount, I can't do that because I have 1 guy support that for hotel charge, they forced me to cancel a lot, I afraid to live with them, and why I have cancel all remain the nights at Hotel. **after review, the Hotel contact to me but I don't trust to her, not accept for her sorry because she is the Hotel receptionist who forced me for cancel, on the travel date, she defected to me about the room type as I booked not value by her new price but she would to give me best price on last day if I cancel, I can stay to the room as I booked and no need to change, she still force and said no room for me and let her check available on that date, if I accept to cancel she will give me a room, this case is not normally misunderstanding between hotel and I but this case is making bad experience to me, as I am old customer of Hotel for clarify for my review, the hotel should contact me via email or booking not private phone number it's offend via my privacy.

SwitzerlandNot what I expected from the property rated above 9/10. The staff is nice and the price is probably okay for what it is, but that is a cheap hotel with issues. The door to the bathroom is sliding. A towel had literally 2 big holes. The bed linen had stains. It smelled like gas in the bathroom and the staff just said that they know about it(!). You can pay by card, but there is 3% transaction fee. I have chosen it because I just needed a place to stay for the night and the hotel was surprisingly well rated, but in my opinion it does not deserve the rating 9+ (but more like 7-8).

United StatesThe hotel on booking.com said breakfast was available for extra cost. That was okay, but they actually don't offer breakfast at all. Breakfast in the hotel is important to me. We were on the 6th floor and the water pressure was nil. You had to be very patient to get a shower. Just a dribble of water.
The location is great, right on the edge of the old quarter. The street was quiet at night, though.
