Kayaking rental rate is a bit steep ... went out for 1 hour, charged 300K

Relaxed atmosphere, good Vietnamese food served.

There were insects in our room. At nighttime noises of insects started. One was constant and sounded like chewing on wood and the other was cockroach hissing. I also could see a cockroach or similar coming out of a creek in the roof and disappearing again. It is possible that this is completely normal and to be expected in this area and this style of houses. For us this was disturbing though and it actually kept us awake for parts of the two nights we stayed there. We greatly appreciated the kindness of the owner family and they really tried to make us happy and comfortable during our stay. Frankly, we didn't really like the food though. Due to the location it is difficult to eat somewhere else than at the homestay and also it seemed somewhat expected that we would eat there. We also appreciated the family offering food and beverages multiple times, yet we were unsure what was a gift and what we would have to pay for. Of the owners, the man is the one who can communicate in english, yet we struggled on several occasions to get the answers we were looking for. We tried to ask the owner if it is advisable to swim in the lake. The only answer we got was that if we can swim it will be fine. We tried to ask about pollution / wildlife, but communication failed. It turned out that our concerns were reasonable, as the female traveller experienced intense itching for several days, proposedly due to a minor bacterial infection, in the lower parts after sitting in the water that spilled into the kajak for just a short period. There was little plastic / trash in the water and it had a very nice temperature. We were tempted to swim but refrained due to our concerns. We were a little disappointed because the swimming pool was empty of water due to the season. On the sites page on booking.com it was stated that the swimming pool would be available and this was one of the reasons why we chose this place. Temperatures were 30°C+.

Nice location for relaxing by the lake. We enjoyed the remoteness after staying in Hanoi. It was relatively quiet during our stay. There were no other overnight guests, just dining guests. We were upgraded to a bigger / higher standard room than the one we had booked due to few guests at the time of our stay. Kajaking was very enjoyable. The owner family is kind and came offering food and drinks on several occasions. It was fine for the family that we ate our own food on one of the evenings of our stay and they even came with additional food free of charge (proposedly leftovers from them) We were at this point of our trip used to the vietnamese karaoke culture and expected the worst. Yet there was no karaoke at our homestay during our stay and the karaoke we could hear was pretty far away on the other side of the lake. We were there in the off-season though and there was a karaoke-set in the dining room, so I guess one can get "unlucky" (sorry you vietnamese people reading, we don't mean to critizise your karaoke culture, yet for us europeans the idea of blasting a whole area for hours upon hours is not something we are used to).

The bathroom glass window and washing basin , toilet bowl could be cleaner They reused blanket from the guests before as still smell somebody BO It is located on isolation spot if you got no car you will be strucked. Zero stuff around there Dining room facing common toilet you can see all traffics while you sitting there having meals

The property got nice views of the lake. But you have step out of each room to see this pretty view

Access is by the golf entrance, but the guard is not aware and ask you to leave , « golf only » Advice is to call the owner via Zalo with the guard

Cozy and quiet place, with full wood design, there is the bricks tents like the old day you can use coffe in that and enjoy the dawn on the lake.... dorm room with double bed is so amazing
