Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceHonestly, there is not much I could criticise. I struggled with the washing machine, but it is my fault I should have asked. The cooking equipment is basic, but enough to prepare something quickly. And anyways, in Vietnam you can eat outside until very late. If you really can't walk, and want to see only the old neighbourhood, you might find something closer. But if you want to see other thing (pagoda, ho chi Minh tomb, prison, litterature temple), it is very central
The best here is definitely Mr Binh. Very helpful, always reachable, he is giving a lot of advices on Vietnam. Without pushing for anything, he responded to all my questions and booked for me or gave me a hand for travel, excursions, change, or others. It was amazing to feel that supported, thanks ! For the place, it was a clean apartment, looking exactly like the photos. It is situated 5 min walk from the train street, and 10 to 15 min walk to all main attractions (market street, litterature temple, ho chi Minh tomb, etc.). It is perfect for those who wants to feel free to move around and visit the old neighbourhood walking. In terms of equipment, you have all you need: tub/shower (even with soap, toothpaste, shampoo, towels...), washing machin, fridge, cooking spot, microwave, TV, air conditioner, etc... elevator to reach the apartment, and 24/7 independent entrance. Bed was very nice. Perfect for a single person or a couple. Highly recommended!

FranceOne of the best places I stayed at in Vietnam. The room is big, you have a kitchen and a huge bathroom. You can use the washing machine and dryer on the roof. The staff is incredible, Lisa helped with everything and was always so reactive, they kept my bag while I was gone for one night. It’s also very quiet at night and extremely clean.

Nice quiet and safe location not far from the hustle and bustle of the old quarter. Good communication with the friendly manager Mr. Binh. Cleaning person was always smiling and was available as needed. Room was as described in the booking The room was well stocked and maintained, worked great for our week stay in Hanoi. We took advantage of the in room washing machine and small kitchen. The little balcony was great for fresh air. We had a great stay and would not hesitate to come back.

TaiwanThe owner contacted me right after the booking and gave much detail about the service. He also contacted me one day before my checking in so that I am confident to get there. He always answered me quickly online when I have a question. Good location and easy for the travelers to visit several hot tourist spot. There is a travel map at the lobby and you can find something special to try. The house is in the area of ministry of defense so I think it’s pretty safe!

FinlandThe apartment was very clean when I entered. But, room cleansing is not always the most effective one. Also, towels are not necessarily changed, soap is often empty, no toilet paper etc..
I wanted to find a place where I could relax between my travels. It was perfect for that. The apartment was spacious. You have a tiny kitchen. You get a lot of light in the room. The location is good, you can walk everywhere. The owner responded to messages fast and helped with anything you needed. I liked my stay and would stay again in the future.

Everything about our stay here was great. One of the cleanest and nicest rooms we've stayed in during our trip to Vietnam, and location wise it's tucked away enough that it's very peaceful, but within easy reach of the main activity of the old quarter. Special mention to Mr Binh, the Zody House manager. Extremely helpful at all times, and just an all round nice man.

This studio apartment was great. It was central, yet reasonably quiet, only some traffic could be heard from a relatively small street. All was clean, friendly and helpful staff, prompt answers. Excellent location, in walking distance to everywhere you want to go. Highly recommended for your stay in Hanoi.

FranceWe loved the fact that after a month of travelling, we could have a reset for a few days, where we could be in our own space. Kitchenette was perfect for cooking, room was a very good size. We had to have some video conferences whilst we were here, the internet never let us down. The owner and the house keeper were absolutely brilliant, and helped with everything we asked for. Washing machine and dryer are free of charge, with product to use. Washing lines and pegs to hang clothes. Plus table and chairs to sit on the top floor terrace. If everybody is considerate, then this is a very serene place in the middle of Hanoi. Recommend 100% to the considerate people amongst us.

New ZealandThere is a dog and rooster who like to get up quite early. My friend on Floor 2 didn't hear them, but I was on the top floor.
These simple studios are located in a side alley behind a military facility - so it felt like a very safe area! There is only one studio on each floor, so no neighbour noise. There is a monitored lift and lobby area which you are given a code to access. Binh was around regularly, friendly and spoke good English and was easy to contact. The rooms were fairly spacious and could be serviced daily if you wanted and came with two bottles of water daily. You could easily stay here for some time as the kitchen was pretty well equipped and there is a washing machine on the rooftop area. Was extremely good value for money and only a short walk to Train Street. Great coffee at the first cafe on the left (though no English spoken) and that street also seems to have fruit and vege for sale during the mornings. You'll have to bargain hard though!
