Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe 2 bedroom garden villa does not have a living room, it is just two small bedrooms and connected bathroom. Would upgrade to another room if you need a living room.
I researched many places to stay around Port Villa, and so glad we decided to stay here. Staff were incredible (they love babies). Food was amazing, facilities were great, amazing snorkelling off the beach. Felt very safe as you’re on your own island with security patrolling 24 hrs a day. Also you’re in a sheltered bay where no large marine animals come in so snorkelled with peace of mind. Travelled with 1 year old and it was the perfect trip for her. Everyone loves babies!

AustraliaNothing to dislike.
A 3 minute ferry ride from the mainland to this tiny island paradise. The staff are awesome from check-in to the restaurant staff, to water sports shop. Kayaks (single & doubles), SUP, snorkelling gear are all free to use. I would bring your own mask and snorkel as the quality of mask and snorkel was poor but the fins were great. There is an amazing reef system with a variety of coral and sea life right off the beach in front of the restaurant. We stayed in a Lagoon Villa which was literally right on the beach. The large balcony with table & chairs and also comfy arm was almost in the water, perfect for watching the sunset with your favourite glass of something. The villa was clean, spacious, well appointed with a large ensuite. The bed was comfy. You can access the whole island with an easy walk path to all areas. The food in the restaurant is good with lots of variety. Breakfast is continental style with cooked option included in the price, so something for everyone. The ferry back to the mainland runs pretty much non-stop all day for those wanting to go back and forth. The resort can organise all trips and excursions no problem. This was our favourite resort during our trip to Vanautu.

AustraliaThe Wi-Fi in our room was pretty non existent. But the Wi-Fi at the restaurant was good so we did what we we needed to there. The snorkel gear worked ok but it was hard to find one that sealed properly.
The room was comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were excellent and fresh. The staff was always very friendly and helpful.

New ZealandThere were a couple of key staff who were very friendly, but mostly they weren’t overly engaging. It would have been great if all staff were as friendly as the few who were. Many times I would go to the bar and wait for someone to serve me (even though there were a lot of staff around).
We loved staying on this island - the snorkelling was amazing! Breakfast was fine, and the location incredible. Lovely every morning sitting on the deck and watching the fish. Evening sunsets were beautiful. Though the resort itself is a bit run down, the vibe and overall experience was great. A lovely way to relax away the days. Restaurant food was actually pretty good - the island had a charm that I would definitely love to return to. We were there for a wedding which was beautiful!

AustraliaWhat an extraordinary resort! I had the pleasure of staying here for just one night, but it left an indelible mark on my heart. The tranquil seaside, the enchanting starfishes and fishes in the sea were a sight to behold. However, what truly made my stay exceptional were the incredible staff members. From the warm welcome by Lita to the friendly island tour with Kelvin, every moment was filled with warmth and genuine care. Kaycee's patience and efficiency in helping us with our travel arrangements were invaluable, and thanks to her, we made it to our destination despite flight challenges. This resort is a true gem, and I'm grateful for the unforgettable memories created by the best staff. I can't wait to come back and relive this magical experience!

every aspect was just great - snorkelling, excursions (Blue Cave, Yakel custom village, giant banyan tree), staff, food, grounds, view, rooms - really top resort. we’d stayed at the ‘Volcanic Hideway Tree House’ at Mt Yasur to see the volcano and the luxury of the resort was a perfect complement to the tree house in a traditional Vanuatu village in sight of the volcano. recommend the combination.
